Seriously. You play the Dominion. Think back to that moment on Khenarthi's Roost when the smoke of a burning moon sugar plantation curled lazily towards the sky. The heat of afternoon was fading; the sun was setting into the sea in the distance. You, Vestige, held the lives of two pathetic Khajiit in the palm of your hand. Did you ...

Poll is biased? How? In the game I'm playing, there is no option that I can see that allows you to "get leniency" for one while condemning the other.

It was an all or nothing decision, unless I missed something.

I did a lot of re rolling during early access week because I couldn't get my character to look right, so I must've done this quest over a dozen times. So I guess I chose both although if we go by which one I chose more of, I chose mercy and lied to the Altmer officer.

Back when Beta testing I did every possible choice combination for this quest. It taught me the "right" choice in ESO quests is not always the one that leads to "best" outcome. (And what I wouldn't have given for an option to come up with better lie and lay blame on the dead bandit for the skooma in my possession instead.)

Have you done the forbidden book quest yet, that's another example of what I'm talking about.

I really liked that one. Both possible choices at the end were very entertaining IMO.

I'm sure the male was told he just had to get out of the realm, only the sister was jailed.

Yes, it's harsh, but the sister was a drug manufacturer, and managed to get the kill the father. I just couldn't justify letting her go, but I did feel sorry for the brother.

We've been raised that burning books is one of the worse things, and the quest really fights you on it now too, but... well did you pay attention to the scenes when you pick up the books? (It's pretty easy to cook up a test alt and see the alternative to the choice you picked for an early quest like that one.)

Oh, and if you show mercy the brother promptly smashes the skooma you retrieved and the siblings have a talk about how they'll never be involved in skooma again.
