Request: cut quest xp rewards by 2/3 to be evenly split between group dungeons and PvP

Simple low-cost solution that will add significant fun factor back into ESO to lure back lost gamers (I think it may get my 7 gaming buddies back here from Wildstar).

Plus, it will actually make leveling my dedicated healer and tank worth something.

I'm all for upping XP for killing mobs, group dungeons, PvP, etc, but the amount of quest XP you get in VR zones now is barely enough to level one rank per zone and I have no interest in PvP and don't want to be forced to do it.

I just don't see the correlation between your suggestion and it bringing players back; care to explain?

Might want to change your title from "petition" to "request". Zen does not like petition threads.

    Just a friendly reminder.

    Simply a bad idea.

Player retention is not going to be helped by cutting quest exp by 2/3. If anything, it would likely infuriate the majority of players already struggling to level their characters.

Have you even played VR content yet?

Cutting quest exp in VR zones when they are already ghost towns would be ridiculous!

    Good point.

Interesting. My buddies have been leveling together doing primarily dungeons since AO and DAOC. Some only play healers, some tanks, and mainly we level doing content tuned for groups: instanced group content.

In ESO - unlike all other premium MMOs - you cannot level doing instanced group content. They left for Wildstar before reaching VR so we do not know how VR group content plays out.

But on our way to level 50, the healers and tanks felt particularly stupid playing their builds because 90% of it was content tuned for single players. And they were building their characters for dedicated group content, as we always have. (We hardly ever group for quests because they are tuned for single players, and having more than one trivializes them to us.)

The group content is there - group dungeons - and it's enormous fun, but we got stuck in our 20s cause we kept running dungeons for fun and getting nowhere.

Because PvP got increasing unfun - facing vets at lvl 20 is not really fun for competitive pvp'ers - and the XP from it was always slow as molasses, they jumped to Wildstar that operates like every other premium MMO xp-wise.

Changing xp rewards would hopefully lure my friends back to running group dungeons and doing PvP - they are not big questers.

For me it was next to the cancel button.
