When I first started playing ESO I had an issue dying a lot; I reached out here on the forums and got great feedback. I've been playing ESO since launch but on in the last 2 or 3 weeks have gotten into the Veteran zones and I feel like a noob again as I am now dying regularly. Last night my VR2 Sorcerer died attempting a one-on-one with a Imp. I've had some good runs though in the VR areas where I am not dying but it seems like the last 3 to 5 days I cant play a session without dying 3 times. Any advice?

Yes. Pick up cloth armour and two staffs. For any class that's the over-powered build. Then grit your teeth because it just gets worse. Then I guess it's up to you if you consider the animation clipping exploit cheating or not. But all the Cool Kids are doing it apparently.

    Block. Dodge. Interrupt.
Block. Dodge. Interrupt. (Because it's that important)
Upgrade your weapons and armor. Choose appropriate traits and glyphs. Find someone to group up with.

That's about the best advice I can offer.

Join the club... I too die way too often for it to be enjoyable for me, and I stopped playing V content about two hours in. Haven't been back really... hoping it gets better soon before I, too, fade off the radar and find other things to do besides ESO.

And! Choose Defensive and Offensive right skills.

NA PC Server - CP810 - Played Since Beta 2014, but left for 4 years, coz games got unbalancing, boring and too much expensive (still?)

    - MagSorc (50) - DPS
    - MagTem (50) - Healer
    - StamDK (50) - Tank
    - StamNecro (50) - DPS
    - StamTem (developing) - DPS
    - MagNecro (developing) - DPS
    - MagWard (developing) - Healer
    - Stamblade (developing) - DPS

My advice is to get yourself proper gear for your level and upgrade it if you can. You may also have problem if you didnt put enough points into health stat. Honestly i havent experienced any problems on veteran ranks so I am wondering why many people do. If you think that your gear and health is ok then you may consider changing build.

Same here,VR2 sorcereri Hate VR, swapped my duel wield for a resto staff (use a destro staff as main) to try and help, it has a bit but certain Mobs heal quicker than you can, is hard and u can block, dodge all u want but u run out of Stam your buggered lol.

whats worse is the Loot ,nothing but greens that are just same rewards scaled to i suppose your level, for VR content these should be blue or higher.

and u can have all blue gear and you can still be 2 shotted, but most players will just call u crap (as i have been told, because ALL Sorcerers are suppose to OP...not really).its the Unbalanced VR Content Not the Player

theres loads of issues on VR content like this one =
    http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/101675/dear-zos-veteran-levels-are-killing-eso-please-wake-up-to-this/p23

also - i would love to respec some points or mainly Attributes, but with not enough Gold income thats not gonna happen especially with all the dying and repairs
almost 150k to respec Attributes and over 200k for Points (works out 100g per Skillpoint) i'm lucky to have grinded 60k lol

I'll add to utilize your CC & self buffs(ie critical surge) as well.
Specifically against the imps you should use crystal fragments for the knockdown & big damage

I had loved levels 1 through 50 but VR needs to be really adjusted for balance. Once the Public Test Servers are available this would be a good thing to start tinkering with on them. Cyrodiil also needs to be adjusted; it's clear that the VR5 buff there was only intended due to the fact that many players playing PvP where quickly VR10 shortly after the games launch.

One of the bigger problems I've seen people have in this game is the movement that combat requires (this comes from watching players in pug dungeon groups, the open world, and from talking to guildies.) I agree that the damage trash mobs do at vet lvl is a bit extreme, and have died my share of stupid deaths. That being said, if you learn the tells that abilities have, you can learn to effectively counter them. (Ex. If a pyromancer starts channeling, it's likely a painful aoe is headed your way. Either interrupt the caster, or wait till the last second to move out of the way, and the aoe will land where you were standing and miss you.) But that's prety much the extent of the advice I can give; move around and learn tells. You will likely die a lot due to everything hitting for a third of your hp.

Edit: also use whatever cc you have. Taking one mob out of combat, even temporarily, can mean life or death. (And avoid gargoyles and storm atronachs whenever possible. They move fast, hit hard, and can't be cc'd)

CC is a very good option in Veteran content. It helps to reduce the amount of damage you are taking so that you can kill the mobs before they kill you. As you might have noticed, mobs in Veteran content can deal a lot of damage even with just their basic attacks.

You can still fool around in lower veteran levels as long as you keep an eye out to interrupt, block or move out of AoEs, but at the higher veteran levels, a CC option would be much appreciated.

For instance, for your class, you can use Encase to keep melee mobs away form you while you take them down one by one from range. Volcanic Rune is also a very helpful skill for AoE CC.

The OP is running a sorceror. Stamina builds are almost certainly irrelevant. He's probably already running light armor and staves. Quit the canned bitter sniping and try to...be helpful.

Your control tools get more important at vet levels. Interrupt or dodge spells. Use crowd control to focus on one at a time. Passives matter a lot; do you have them? What approach do you typically take?

Go to Craglorn straight away. ( doable at vr1 )

Do Hircine haunt with a group and level up to vr 12 in a week.

Come back with light armor and staff and roll everything in the VR zones.
