My main character (or, actually ex-main...) is VR1 with around 25% to VR2. Virtually stopped there for the last 2.5 weeks. The same exactly happened to my "leveling buddy" friend, who lost interest in the rather sour VR content.
So, there is virtually no incentive at all now, to go through the harrowing process solo, it was bad enough duoing, even if we were only in the beginning of our "VR adventures" and things were not quite so terrible, yet.
In the meantime I have almost reached VR1 with my second character, only because it is my "crafter" and wanted some extra skill points and such.
Right now I am slowly leveling a 3rd character, in a different faction, the journey through 1-50 is certainly a lot more enjoyable. I don't know for how long though, perhaps until my 3 month sub expires. In any case, "VR content" as it is now, is just out of question.
And, yep, forgot to mention that none of my characters are "Harry Potters" so can merrily trail through insanely overpowered VR "trash" mobs. I refuse to be forced to do something I despise and if ESO remains as it is now, eventually I will have to stop. Just hoping that Zen people will deliver the much needed "fixes" and "balance" as they have already mentioned, and promised.
VR 1 and I can't really try to level yet because I still haven't finished the main quest in Cold Harbour. I guess it is a downside to being a completionist. I always entered the zones at a higher level because I wanted to do ALL the quests. Now it just feels weird to be killing stuff and getting no credit for anything

A currently more interesting poll would include an option "Got to VR1-2, and then abandoned my main for an alt to be able to enjoy myself again."
That's the way it was for me when I hit VR zones a few weeks ago. After struggling to push my Templar through VR1 (but getting my face eaten in Stonefalls by trash packs of 2-3 beetles or spiders) and finding out that the only workable option was to make her wield nothing but staves and play an underpowered sorcerer, I lost interest and went back to the Nightblade I rolled at game launch, which I had previously considered unplayable and abandoned. After learning the hard and expensive way not to get hit by *anything* in the VR1 zone, playing a squishy NB at level 35 was suddenly a lot easier and quite enjoyable again. I don't even mind the attribute points I wasted on stamina, the battle lag and the bugged abilities anymore. I can still defeat packs of 3, even 4 regular mobs at my own level, and even solo some world bosses. I guess VR zones was my "L2P" experience.
I will play this alt until just before Coldharbour, and then roll a third alt to see the third pact's zones. After that, well, I hope ZOS has some other content for me to enjoy by then. The design of their current VR zones is taking the fun away for me.
Going into VR content as a bowplar... t'was a smack on the head. I needed to adapt and so I did, sword/shield, jabs, even post nerfs is still a viable, albeit very slow and low dps spec. I managed to get thru to get my Tamriel Heros badge and finished all three alliances with almost nothing left out (a few of the last dolmens and some public group dungeons). I rarely needed to group. I could do a lot better, I guess, by joining the broomstick and funny dresses faction, but I never play FOTM. At least this way killing an 15k elite mob feels like I just actually accomplished something. xD
