✭✭✭As a mighty meowing Khajiit this one felt entitled to attempt to ride a senche into battle but the scrofulous ingrate was not amused and clawed out my kitty litter.
I've always found the MMO players' obsession with mounts and capes very strange, but I would certainly like a mount that you simply could not be dismounted from by anything 6 levels or lower than your own level, or prevented them from agro-ing in the first place0 -
Heishi✭✭✭✭✭I hate to use the W word, but WoW did the whole mount and guild emblem thing ages ago. BUT... to be honest... it looked awesome. Riding into a PvP battle with a group of your guildies all of you showing guild colours... soooo very cool !
I forgot WoW did that XD Although we'd be here all day listing things from it since you know.. IT WAS THE FIRST MMO EVER, AMIRITE? Kidding. But yeah, at the very least we need a little more guild representation, at least a tabard for your char or something. Half the game is full of all these flags, markings, and symbols to represent the group occupying the area (good or bad). ✭Definitely just horses. Real horses come in many shapes and sizes. There isn't any reason they couldn't just go horse crazy and leave it at that.
I think race specific perks/motifs to horses would be ideal. Nords might prefer to ride bare-back and get a speed bonus on the horse as a result. Argonians are good healers--maybe their horses can eat more often--instead of every 20 hours, they eat every 15. Dark Elves might be resistant to getting knocked off their horses by fire based attacks. Motifs are kind of self explanatory. Just let the players start crafting and finding things we can decorate our horses with.
Another thread was going crazy about player housing. I'd be good with a customizable horse!

Having just a Horse Mount in the game was terrible idea to even begin with. You can do them pretty much any shape and size but they'll still look nearly the same. Besides Horses are Common and nothing Unique.
ESO is different from other TES games. It's an endless game, featuring much more things. Denying the right to mount anything else than a Horse Mount is just too much limiting, especially in an MMO. I know they've chosen a very realistic path, but they seriously need to change that a bit - too much realistic and we'll end up bored much faster than we would othervise.
Also I'm highly against Flying Mounts, so I don't see how would the mounts I proposed interfere with the gameplay anyway.
Players and NPCs already look too much similar. Beside the obvious mount changes, we need some cloaks, guild tabards etc..

Seriously though I just want more sweet customizations.. more levels for the mount to. I want more stamina now that I have 40 extra bag slots. A veteran lvl 12 horse with 50 bag slots, at 50% speed increase and a sackful of stamina would be pretty epic in my book but with black spots on white.
Also a tabard with my guild crest on it.This is were my signature would be if I was allowed one.0 -
GreyIgnisSoul ShrivenI have recently come across an idea formed by a couple of undisclosed people in the game as to add depth into mounts. Right now they are all transportation, but there should be combat mounts. Say a bear you ride. With these combat mounts there would be a separate skill tab just for mounted combat. It would be the rarest gone into, but it would add more choice as to how the game is played. The skill tab would contain a plethora of different active skills, to accommodate having all the skills condensed into one tab, and a new hotbar would appear everytime you mounted a combat mount, but regular mounts would stay the same. I would love for the developers to also add more exciting mounts with armor you can get for them that would decrease damage taken while riding them and such. I would also love for the developers to just see this idea at all and at least consider some part of it. Thank you, Ignis0 -
