If I want to fight a melee NPC, I have to hit, block, hit, block, hit, block. The game deals damage when the NPC begins to swing, not when it actually hits. So that means you have to block well before he even starts to attack. This IMO, is a horrible design and doesnt separate good players from the bad. The game turns into an attack spam fest with little to no thought process. I chose a melee character because they tend to be more intense, more fast paced, and relies more on twitch reaction times. ESO doesnt have this. It feels like im fighting with the engine more than the NPC.
