If (you will be able to), and when you murder an NPC in cold blood please have bystanders say "Someone's been murdered" just like in Oblivion.

Ahhh that never gets old for me. Oblivion will always hold a special place in my heart.

I want (in PvE at least) to see critical strike animations and assassination animations.

I want NPC's to sometimes run away when you just trashed their two buddies.

I want long, involved assassination contracts with unique requirements, like killing them without it looking like you killed them, or pinning it on others.

I want multiple branching pathways in each assassination, so that I'm recognized by those in the guild for how I go about things (being a brute, a sneak, or untouchable, etc).

I want to see players be able to sign up with local city guards to hunt down NPC thieves and assassins, being paid in gold for their hard, yet sometimes boring, work.

I want to be able to be able to work in a team and have one friend distract a guard while I swipe the item.

I want to compete with other players in the guild for cleanest kills, most kills, most contracts, most fenced, least guard encounters, most guard missions completed, etc.
Ruze Aulus. Mayor of Dhalmora. Archer, hunter, assassin. Nightblade.
Gral. Mountain Terror. Barbarian, marauder, murderer. Nightblade.
Na'Djin. Knight-Blade. Knight, vanguard, defender. Nightblade.

Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.

He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

This is an multiplayer game. I should be able to log in, join a dungeon, join a battleground, queue for a dolmen or world boss or delve, teleport in, play for 20 minutes, and not worry about getting kicked, failing to join, having perfect voice coms, or being unable to complete content because someone's lagging behind. Group Finder and matchmaking is broken. Take a note from Destiny and build a system that allows from drop-in/drop-out functionality and quick play.

^ Not that that isn't awesome and all but... geez. I think you want an Assassin's Creed MMO instead.

It's just I'm pretty sure that no TES game had assassination missions be that in depth.

Some of the Dark Brotherhood quests in Skyrim weren't that far off. That one at the wedding in Solitude comes to mind.

Oblivion has one that always sticks in my mind. When you drop the trophy mount on the guys head? Loved that mission, more than any other.

Yeah, other games have shown the flaw in most so-called 'assassin' mechanics ... that being, they are focused just more on killing things straight up as subterfuge and wits. It's easier, I'm sure. But not nearly as entertaining for many.
