How about pack guars for bank space?

I read somewhere the devs have confirmed guar mounts. I would really like them to set up caravan NPC's that you could visit like stables and feed your guar pumpkins or ash yams or goats or something and have them increase your bank space like feeding your horse increases bag space. Also, I am interested in what other perks people think might be fun for secondary mounts.

Absolutely! We need a way to increase bank space daily like horses do bag space.

No way. I am happy with the "all my alts" mini game.

I don't think there is any mount in the game currently that is clearly focusing it's bonus on bag space. I doubt I'd want to mount a guar though.

The white and brown blotchy horse (forget the name) that you can buy (one of the 40K+ horses) starts with 10 bag slots that get added directly to your inventory space whenever you have it set as your active horse. You can then increase the amount of space it adds to your inventory by 1 slot once a day by feeding it oats at a stable.

EDIT: I don't know, Dark Elves might be into it. It would be really cool to see Bosmers riding around on bears, or Khajiit hunter girls on Senche Tigers. :)

Pack guars no, some kind of private storage (LIKE EVERY OTHER ELDER SCROLLS GAME) yes. Come on devs, player housing/storage of some kind was standard in every ES game I've seen before this one. You don't have to store it on the client, honest, though really, if you guys have that much trouble with simple hash codes and encryption, you need to talk to a CISSP (such as myself) about getting hired for that purpose.

That said (and really, it does break the flow between ESO and the previous ES games), generally speaking if you UNDERSTAND the crafting system more than 90 or so bank slots aren't necessary. Example, my current main is maxing provisioning - maxed it out to 50 by lvl 22, MOF. So he's got lots of low level stuff in the bank? No, I pushed all that to an alt ONE TIME, because that guy will use that junk, otherwise, it is just that, vendor junk, because it would be a total waste of the main's time to create low level food after raising his skill. Don't store stuff not useful to the current char - simple and easy. The need for private chests or whatever is simply due to the decision to make the bank a money hole.

Why this game needs a money hole is beyond me, without an auction house there's very little to spend money on, besides horses. I do trade crafting mats with various folks, but really, there isn't a buying/selling system that works other than just shouting. Of five guilds, NONE of them have anyone who actually checks the guild store, I don't do it myself. The odds of finding anything more useful than what I can scare up on my own are nearly nonexistent.

    Light – 25% speed, 10 stamina, costs 42,700 gold
    Gated – 15 speed, 20 stamina, costs 42,700 gold

Makes me wonder why isn't there a horse starting with 20-25 bag slots.

There is mount with +10 speed, +10 stamina and +10 bags.
    Nothing special, really.

This game needs special storage space for crafting materials, exactly like GW2 has; not more space in general.

wow... Since bank space is account based, and mounts & bag space are both character based, the idea of a bank-space mount is confounding...

--Unless they introduce character banks (which are just delocalized bag spaces).

No, I'm pretty sure the guar mounts will be like current mounts with different skins, maybe with different buff options (e.g.: combat mounts, not unlike mounts in Age of Conan. or pre-purchase buffed mounts that are half-and-half stats instead of +10 to a single stat. Maybe they'll go up higher in single stats, at a higher buy price)
What I lack in gameplaying ability I make up for in smack talk.

Good point. I was thinking either you would be able to hire one pack guar to join a banking caravan, which you could take out to ride (if you had enough open bank space to lose the extra slots), or allow you to buy one on all your characters, and make the extra space cumulative, where taking one out to ride on one character still kept the extra bank slots from the other character's guar.

While i agree that it would be interesting to have something that increases the bank slots , i dont think this is a good idea.

To begin with bank slots are shared on all your alts , which already shows on question when it comes to how each char guar would increase the bank number and even if having multiple guars would change anything.

Also , there is the issue where the horse bonus only remain while you are using the horse , which matters because you must take it outside the city , on this guar case , you could lvl it and use it when you needed to go to the bank.

What 'player housing' was there in Morrowind? Or Oblivion? I didn't play Skyrim so don't know if you could design your own house in that game.

Sure, you could take over an abandoned house or use one with a dead body in the basement but that's no 'player housing' as most gamers would apply the term.

I'd like true player housing very much but the devs have pretty much said 'forget it'.
