This is essential.
I use this as a way to look for potential guilds who play in same timezone as I am in. This is a very basic missing element in an MMO

Yes, not just out of guild pride, but because I like to see other people's guild names and laugh at the clever ones.

I also use the add-on that puts a guild name tag under people who are in the same guilds as me.

And the game should also add nametags that could be ON 100% of the time in the display menu.

Never played a MMO with such *** choice before and yes , while most design choices in this game are up to discussion not giving this one option , is just a show of stupidity by zen.

Yes but such a standard feature shouldn't have to have you download off 3rd party mods, this and toggable chat bubbles should already be present in game, this doesn't break immersion, rather it reminds us that hey, this is an MMO.

Of course. There should be a name plate with title and your guild like every other mmorpg out there. Immersion excuses don't cut it because you can have a health bar above your head but not a name plate? yeah doesn't fly here.

By far one of the most fun aspects of GW2 WvW, meaning what AvA Cyrodiil is in ESO, is that guilds know who they are fighting. Guilds challenge each other, praise each other, work together and are bitter rivals even on the same servers, heh. Solo players could easily come to respect - or loathe - certain guilds. Raids are identified by their guilds, as is commanders. It builds a community and it strengthen the server.

I find it incredibly disappointing that we see none of this ESO. A keep can be taken by a guild, yes, the map states who has it. But you dont know where that guild is on the map. You dont know players in the guild because you never meet them - even if you have met them, you have no idea you did. Because you cant tell who's who. You can claim keeps in GW2 as well, but that's often a feature that is overlooked - and ESO base everything on it! Its like the complete opposite of what make guild combat great.

You cant even tell if a player in front of you is in your own guild ffs

I am going to put 'No', with the caveat that I wouldn't mind as long as there is a display option not to have them displayed.

I personally don't want that information blocking anymore of the screen.

Ideally, guilds should have crests and capes with identifying colors. If you want others to know you are in a guild, wear your colors.
