People here seem to like some 'realistic' elements to the game...i can appreciate that too.

How about this.

do away with guild stores...hear me out.

now, each major town has its own 'trade house'. this functions exactly like an auction house, only they will NOT be linked. You place items in a city's trade house and it will only appear there, each city having its own place with differing items..again, faction specific.

here the idea suggests some level of realism in that items aren't viewed across a continent, you must now travel and look for items. puts the ideas of inventory into play

    Eventually you will see everyone only posting in one trade house at the last highest level zone in the game. WoW had something similar with a few AH locations in different regions and it just ended up with all of them being linked. Might as well just have an auction house.

    I think they should have an AH but guilds pay to get there Guild store to be the only stuff in the AH for a certain period of time. Like what they plan on doing but i think what they plan on doing is only having that in cyrodil? not sure can't remember exactly what it said but you get the point.

    I don't really care for an AH and the guild stores are fine with me. The way I explained could help being other members get to post stuff for sale in that guilds AH for a fee which the guild takes a cut from. Members of that guild get to post there good for without a fee. Just stating an idea.

    I couldn't care less about an AH and hope one does not get implemented. But if they do something like that would be enough.
