My 2 cents regarding the Game

I already canceled my subscription and will wait till major changes come into the game.

Most of the issues and complaints have been posted. But I decided to write down my opinion on what will encourage players that wanna leave to stay.

ESO subscription should be down to half of it's price per month or even be free to play until all the major issues (which have caused players to leave the game and may not return) are resolved. The current monthly fee does not reflect a product you except as an MMO player, period. We've been sold a product that is nowhere to a satisfactory level. We basically received an unfinished product. Most reviews give the game 4-7 points. Let's be honest, the game still feel like a beta version. Now there are lots of happy folks playing the game. But reality is that the game has failed in many ways and now developers are trying their best to recover. Google the game as we speak and you'll find mostly negative reviews or negative comments. That's the bottom line.

Game Developers, Project Managers, Lead Designers please read:

ESO subscription should be down to half of it's price per month or even be free to play until all the major issues (which have caused players to leave the game and may not return) are resolved.

amen :disappointed:

Man, it's almost like you ignored all the actual avenues to the developers and posted a useless quitting thread that you knew would get closed...

And another "I Quit" thread.... not telling you already cancelled would have been better to be honest... your thread would have lived longer and prospered more :p
The statement "if you put enough monkeys behind enough typewriters... sooner or later one will produce the works of Shakespeare" has sadly been proven utterly wrong by the internet...

So you felt that you should violate ToS for your 2 cents? You should wait for change. Personally I am enjoying the game.

my paypal account was charged a full month subscription right after I canceled it. That came out outta nowhere. I'm still yet to receive a refund.
With great joy I paid for the game when it first came out only to realized I got an unfinished product. If someone has been violated here, that's me! hahaha
I'm still hoping for positive changes to come.

So if this thread needs to be closed cause it breaks ToS . So beat it. It was my opinion on what should be done to keep players.

I've noticed a change in the game support the last weeks. Back in april they fixed game breaking bugs, now they stay in the game. If they don't fix major stuff anymore because they work on a long term permanent relaunch/fix then it's probably best to drop the sub untill they are ready to support the game again.

For example the bank bug is back and they don't take the game down to fix it.

Well, whatever happens, I'm sure a subscription is still going to cost more than your two cents.

The price would be fine if they would react when an exploit is found... most of them were serious and should have been hot fixed.

I think they did not bother fixing them so fast as they knew that the game is full of holes so stopping one exploit and taking down the servers for it would make no difference.

Its sad as it could have been a good game, it has the story and the lore but after all the exploits most people just finish the story and quit as there is no real reason to stay and play a game where the exploiters have all the gold, where there is no cheat detection of any kind and bots are teleporting and speed hacking all over the place and so on...

My guild had a big vent meeting and most people only want to finish the story... after that they plan to quit most said they can`t compete with hackers and bots by playing legit. Pretty clear example of how a bad launch seals the fate of a game, i totally regret getting more than one month but whatever they can keep the money they will need them when everyone leaves.

Lol, they have a rough patch and you want half price sub? You don't have to play man, you have the freedom of choice to pay or not to pay. They aren't forcing you to do anything.

They most likely fired a lot of developers as sales are not what they expected - if the sales are even remotely decent every MMO makes a big announcement bragging about how much they sold.

The remaining ones are focusing on adding content as i doubt they can change the game from a hacker`s paradise to a secure one in a short time frame... so they keep adding content hoping that people either don`t notice or don`t care that cheats of all types are being used on a large scale.

What do you mean "compete with hackers and bots?"
You mean in PVP? I guess I'm just not really clear on what part of this game (outside of PVP) is a competition. I mean, I suppose there's some argument could be made for resource nodes but I, personally, haven't had a significant issue with that.

I'm not ridiculing you, I honestly don't understand the perspective and I want to.

Billing for May was booked normally as I was still playing. I decided to cancel subscription days after and my account was booked again. It doesn't matter to me at the end. That money is not gonna hurt me. I read on another thread that a user was charged twice for a 6 month subscription. look it up.

They don't fire devs for sales being bad, they pick back up and continue on and make the game better and better. You see, in the real world you give people a chance to do the right thing, not fire them if it's not good enough.

I don't understand. Every MMO has bugs. ESO support has gotten back to me on everything I've reported. Of course, I don't expect answers back in 20 minutes like some. Patches have been made.

I don't read google reviews. There are haters everywhere for every game you can imagine.

I have never loved a game as much as this one. I've played MANY.

There is no such thing as F2P; somewhere somehow you will have to invest in gear and weapons or to open up locations.

If you are unhappy with the game, good bye!

Think about it this way: You would be able to contribute to 750 discussions on internet forums with this amount of money. I always wondered if those discussions would be more substantial if people would invest more than 2 cents.

Please stop posting things like this, has any MMO, EVER come out that had a subscription model and gone F2P in 6 months?

Take Age of Conan for example, it came out in 2008 and it took until may of 2011 for them to make the jump to F2P.

The truth hurts, and for those of you bumhurt about paying a subscription, with this MMO title especially since it is releasing on console you are going to have to wait at LEAST 2 years before F2P even becomes a discussion.

Now, crawl back into your hole troll.

Ok, so you got hit by a known bug in the billing system.
Don't make it sound like they deliberately charged you a second time just because you cancelled and then refused you a refund.

Gotta love these "I have cancelled my sub " threads.
Sorry to be rude, but who the f... cares? You are not enjoying the game - you unsub - good for you, genuinely, honestly, good for you, go do something you do enjoy. Really. But why in the world should I or anyone else care? Those who enjoy, stay, those who don't, leave. That's how it should be.

SWTOR never went free to play .... it went Freemium.

That is, quite possibly, the worst example of that business model i've ever seen.

Hilariously, it was far worse at one point but a lot of us that were testing it on the PTR complained ... and we were paying subs, we still thought it was ridiculous.
