Apperance Change

Now I know ESO is busy dealing with bugs/glitches, but making your character leveling up to VR10 and maybe thinking you wanna change how he looks would be nice if we could actually do it, its very simple to implement I would think. No it wouldent be like a race change or faction change, just your apperance. A item that would take you back to the Character sliders. But the only questions for now is what would it cost, and for the poll yes or no for the ability to change your apperance. ( Just wanna see what everyone thinks, hopefully give a hint to ESO )

Absolutely. Other games let you do it--it wouldn't have to be -every- aspect, but at least things you could change in real life--hair style at the very, very minimum. But... since magic exists in ESO, I don't see why more significant alterations couldn't take place. Make it cost a lot of money, I don't care--just proved the option.

Superficial changes, like hair, nose, etc, but not huge stuff like race or height. Keep it realistic-ish.

Laehl Direthorn - Bosmer Nightblade, Purveyor of fine Clothes, Bows and Staves
Reeza gra-Zuni - Orc Templar 'War Shaman' and Apothecary
Noemi Snowpaw - Kajiit Dragon Knight - I laugh... or I'd have to kill you.
Kitera Dreamon - Breton of The Dominion: Because those Daggers don't appreciate a great Mage.
Lysara Shadowcroft - Dunmer Bloodmage: This will only hurt a lot.

I would like to see appearance change eventually. But what I would like to see FIRST is the ability to create/save "templates" in the character creation screen (say with a new option, "create template"). Basically, you pick a race (but not a class), then fiddle with it until it looks the way you want. Then you save it as a "template". Then when you create a character, you pick a race/class, then you can pick the appearance from a drop-down of "templates" you have created previously. Templates would be specific to the race they were created on, for obvious reasons, but you should be able to create as many as you want. Also, if you want to load up a template, change it, then save it again, you should be able to do this as well.

I also think it would be better if these templates were saved locally, and were shareable. You could share them as small files. "Hey, check out this neat looking Argonian I made". Drop it in your template directory much like an addon, and the game will pick it up and let you use it.

this is a really good idea. ive made a few characters now. ive said in the respec thread about how i ran all the way to grahtwood with my level 6 bosmer to change from siphoning to assassination nightblade... well, the main reason for doing that is that i was really pleased with her appearance and i didnt think i would be able to redo her !! :P

hence running to grahtwood at level 6.

I've started a thread specifically on this subject so it doesn't get mixed in with appearance change (which is a totally separate thing). Hopefully it will get some developer notice. I don't think this would be terribly hard to implement given most of the systems are already in place for it.

I didn't realize just how pale my already light-skinned character would become when turned into a vampire, otherwise I would NOT have chosen the white hair! :p
Didn't mean to make her look like albino (even has red eyes, lol) and I am DYING to change the hair color.

This is one of those things that most MMO players look for, no doubt about it, and ZOS has commented in a reddit AMA that changes will be possible at some point with new hairstyles. I'm kind of wondering if that's only a barber shop deal though, rather than full-fledged char gen options. I'd like to see the ability to change everything in some manner or another.

My thoughts exactly. This game has a good amount of slider options, it needs something like a item/shrine/vendor, that will take us back to the sliders, and let us change what we want. Right now you make your character and thats it. I really dont like this, I need to know if this is the character I'll be looking at for the next year, or if I can change for a fee of some sort. Even if ESO makes it cost money, it would be some nice revenue coming in with all the options they have for sliders. I suspect there being silent about it because they dont know what it should cost still. Atleast give us a hint you're thinking/working/deciding on it.

Yes I would like this. The character creator is good, but unfortunately when I made my first character during early access, the creator was bugged and wouldn't allow me to zoom in to see my face properly. I would like to alter my appearance now that I can see it up close ;)

Elfluck - Dunmer Dragonknight "When I will walk the earth again, the Faithful among you shall receive your reward: to be set above all other mortals forever. As for the rest: the weak shall be winnowed: the timid shall be cast down: the mighty shall tremble at my feet and pray for pardon."

I have people like you in mind, that happened to me too and I've seen alot of people with the same ordeal. I wish ZoS would see this, and the people of the community to realize this wouldent take up a ton of workers because its not like there working on Craglorn or something, just a way to go back to the sliders. It's simple (hopefully) :)

Yes, please provide this option into the game. I also created my main character while the character creator was bugged and I couldn't zoom into the face. I would like to fine tune the facial details.

They have already mentioned that this is in the works. Vampires are probably complicating this a little though (coincidentally, the same was true in Skyrim) as being a vampire locks down skin tone, facial adornment, and eye color. There may not be any way to disable certain sliders in the chargen currently.

I believe it was a quote from a Reddit Q and A with the devs. Maybe saying they are "planning on adding this" would be a better way of stating it. I have no idea if they are actively working on it, but they did indicate they planned to add it in the future.

EDIT: It's possible that they will only give the option to change hair, etc. and that full chargen access is not planned.
