Armor glyphs...where are they?

Has anyone else had a problem finding armor glyphs in the world? I seem to find tons of weapon and jewelry but no armor glyphs. I have so many armor pieces I would love to enchant but alas I cannot.

It's exactly the other way around for me. I find a lot more armor glyphs than weapon ones. Like 6/7 to 1.

I find a good number of them in treasure chests. Of course, you can always make your own.

There's only 3 armor glyphs one can make, which seems a bit on the low side of things.

I always make mine with the enchanting tables. However, you can always buy regular white glyphs from the enchanter vendor.

I don't understand why this is. I am a lvl 49 templar in Aldmeri Dominion and have gotten maybe 5 armor glyphs the ENTIRE play time compared to 50+ of the weapon ones. Use to get a lot of jewelry glyphs as well but that seems to have slowed down lately. Would love to be able to make my own but already have woodworking and clothing crafting abilities with materials taking up the bulk of my inventory space. This is just very frustrating because I cannot upgrade any armor pieces that I make and rely solely on quest items or loot in chests and/or mobs. Anyone have some advice on how to acquire more armor glyphs rather than spamming in zone or buying from a vendor? I have even tried the guild store and bank and no one is selling them.
