VR questing for 1.5-2k exp?

To go from VR1 to VR2 I need 456k experience.

I chose to quest through Daggerfall Covenant after getting 1-50 in Ebonheart Pact.
Is it a bug, or did you intend for quests to give 1.5-2k exp?
It will take 228-304 quests to get VR2

I've been told VR1-VR5 will be all of Daggerfall Covenant quests, and VR5-VR10 will be all of Aldmeri Dominion.

Clever way to get folks to play through all 3 factions, or sadistic punitive action?

Frow what I know you should be getting 1 Vet level for completely clearing a region with all group dungeons, public dungeons, world bosses, anchors and quests.

No, You gain the chief amount of your experience in each zone by completing quest obejctive AREAS as well as clearing public dungeons and all of the quests in your Cadwells Almanac.

Here is what I do to level up (Currently VR 4.5)

1. Do each world boss and clear every dungeon
2. Do all dolmens
3. complete almanac quests in that zone
4. move to next zone
5. repeat

Note: generally the quests you HAVE to complete range from 3-8 most of the time so you really shouldn't be questing all that much aside from the quests you get from the public dungeons as well.

At my rate, I will probably finish at VR 9 and have to quest through the final zone.
But that is not too terrible.

Filling in POI's is what gives the good XP, including finishing a quest hub, for VR's. Zepheric has it down pat, you can do public dungeon bosses to fill them in on your map too for nice XP. .

I had to. My first was NB! Actually got that one to VR10 and now i am on VR2 *Guess it* DK what else. lol

Also the XP gains become larger depending on the zone you are in, it does scale. So don't stress out too much, it just takes time.

All quests,world bosses,dolmens,delves in the starting island and first major zone will get you VR2. After that each zone will net you roughly one rank. At around VR5-6 you will again have a bit of exp lagging but I entered the VR7 zone exactly when I hit VR7. VR8 about 10% short and VR9 about 15%. I am pretty sure I will get rank 10 when I finish everything. I also never grinded any mobs and try to avoid as much combat as possible. So the leveling idea is first faction get LVL50 the other two get 10 Ranks.

The first sentence talks about going from VR1 to VR2 which is something that no longer exists in the game.

The thread was created in 2014 and the person who made this thread has not been to the forums since May 2014. They probably quit the game month.

Wow, you must have been really bored to dig up a thread like this from seven years ago, but it brought a tear to my eye. It's not that I miss VR, but back then I already lvled over 6 characters to the max, which wasn't thrilling at all, but it wasn't that bad either. Vet zones were much more difficult back then and completing missions there had a unique atmosphere impossible to recreate now.

When I saw the title I legit thought someone was asking for 1) a VR mode to be implemented & 2) to get an xp buff for playing in VR lol.

Then I realized this is a mega necro. I remember hitting VR10 2 weeks after launch and just living in cyrodiil because I had nothing else to do. How this game has changed...

I know its a necro thread... but someone's account still shows up Community Ambassador after the program ended. Obviously he's probably gone and hasn't shown up for the mods to remove it.

I had exactly the same thought; that it was a new variant of the "I want to be able to play this way because I think it would be really fun and exciting...oh but obviously I should get a massive buff as compensation for putting up with it" requests.

I sometimes forget this forum doesn't delete old topics and things from that long ago are still around to dig up.
