I think if you want real advice, you should give more details of what your setup is. Most people probably just hear Vamp Dk and assume you roll with mistform/bats/shieldbash/talons or whatever the strong DK builds are, so if you aren't then people will have something to work with.
If you are using a build that's known to be good, then maybe people will be able to help you about skill choices, etc. So, I'd say tell everyone what armor and weapon types you use, and what skills are on your hotbars, and they might come down off those horses.

I am loving the Vet levels now, since the challenge is so much better.
Best advice to give you is find a comfortable skill set that works for you, and think out a fight before you go into it.
I have never respected, played my main character 1-50, and got to v1 realized that I might need a bit of tactics change.
I just swapped out some skills on the bar, and now can roll into the group of 3 mobs with some damage coming my way, but usually survive.
I am a Templar Heavy Tank, and don't even use the spear.
Just take some time to experiment out some things, and you will be fine.

So he asks for help with his spec since his isnt working well for him, you tell him to play whatever hes comfortable with.. helpful bro
You do realize hes looking for a spec that works and your advice to him is to find a spec that works?...................................................
People tell him they cannot help him without knowing what his spec is, so he uses the the skill calculator to show the his spec, you tell him his first problem is using the skill calculator, wtf??
HELLO?? why did you even post?

NB here, I actually had to learn how to do various things to make myself stay alive early on so I've figured out how to adjust.

1. You need a self heal at all times, and Dragon's Blood is great for this. This is one of the best abilities we have, so if you are not using it, then you better start right now.
2. Dragonknight Standard will handle mobs of 3 to 5, if you block while using it. I suggest farming up your ultimate before you fight any bosses or elites, as you'll usually need it.
3. Gap closer onto a ranged enemy and use Dark Talons. You want to burst down the ranged mobs (caster > archer) while locking the melee out of range with roots.
4. Next, you'll want a decent magicka AoE. Personally, I use Burning Breath. A cone of fire damage with a pretty decent damage over time, and it reduces armour by 40%.
5. Its very important to have a stamina dump. I don't know what weapon you are using, but I usually run with Reverse Slash -> Executioner from the two handed weapon tree.
6. If you struggle on trash mobs no matter what you do, start using Petrify. If you don't hurt the enemy, it stuns them for 15 seconds. Plenty of time to even the odds.
Other than that, you need to block often and farm your ultimate if it gets difficult.

So pretty much its my fault that i picked a class awesome advise, and clearly being able to play anyway you want in the game is a load of ***...Doesn't feel right to help really? You might as well have not left a comment......glad to what kind of people are playing

Go 49 Magicka
Get Destruction staff as main, and restoration as off. Keep your heals and buffs on restoration, and every dps ability on your main. I can link you my build but only if you request it, won't waste my time making it otherwise.
