Howdy folks. Good to see (finally) a general discussion forum! yay!
I can finally share my two cents. This might get long...
I love this game. And I see it becoming large at some time! And I am still keeping my optimism and hopes up.
It's the little things that make me fall in love. It's the way NPCs see me as a hero, telling me how awesome I am for saving the Queen and such ...
It's the main story, entertaining, and the punchlines from characters in theese quests, or the random chatter between them.
It's the beauty of the world I go through. If you don't try to leave the main roads, you are being robbed of so much ...
It's the challenge, not everything is so easy, many times I have to look for a partner to help me ...
It's the nice people I find, the ones that don't go nerd rage after first failed attempt at anything, and are actually fine and fun to talk to or do things together. Random people that is, and believe me, I've met many.
It's the surprise when I find M'aiq ... yeah found him just twice now.
It's the joy of helping a couple of merchants from bandit ambush, or falling for a trap, or stealing a chest bandits were so eager to open, or helping a homeless fella with a small tip to get him through one more day. Yeah, plenty of random world events happen
It's the times when you have nothing to do, just sit back at an inn and talk with your guildies... yeah that happens to me alot, i get sucked into conversations and forget that it's a game I'm supposed to be playing...
It's the two-phased aggro. Best when I come from behind, the first look over the shoulder like "Do I know you ... hello? Take a picture, it will last longer....", then a battlecry "Stahp looking at my ass!" (nah that's not actually in the game, but I imagine it like that
)
And many more... Everyone can find something to enjoy in this game. I've found plenty of things, and I sure as hell will not be influeced by the negativism I see on the forums or hear from some players. It's those small groups of frustrated brats that are the most vocal. It's a shame, looking forward to getting rid of them
So, yeah. I enjoy the game. And I will for a long time (I hope).
