Ability/Potion Use Lag

I hit & hit & hit my buttons to use potion or abilities and nothing happens and I'm face down dead. Soon as I hit my button for what ever I need it should go off right away. I have died so much because of this I'm really starting to get annoyed with it alot. Cost me gold in constant repaires cuz I die to often cuz of this issue.

If you're dying too often because of potion use, that's not your problem. And please be more specific. Are you:

-Experiencing lag?
-Trying to use an ability while another one is already in use/casting?
-Experiencing the occasional bug that stops all buttons from working until you hit Esc twice?

Sometimes I hit an ability and it doesnt fire, so I hit it again and it fires twice. I notice it most often on the NB teleport strike, but that may be just because the nature of the skill makes it really obvious when it doesnt go.

When I hit the button to use a potion it dose not go off. And no, its not on cool down and I'm not glitched either. Same for abilities. Gotta spam/mash the crap outta my buttons to get it to finally work but in most cases I'm dead cuz it dose not respond as it should. And its not lag due to connection or a crappy PC. It just dont respond right away as it should. The second I hit my button it should work right away! Countless times I have hit the potion button in plenty of time before death and it dont go off like it should & SPLAT...dead. Angry Joe on a Youtube video mentions the same problem.

Oh and also when I'm glitch and cant attack or fricken run away I can block and use potions so that bug dose not effect me using potions. Thats also a seriously annoying fricken bug that pisses me off!!! I expected bugs in this game just like all other games but holy cow Bat man, I didnt think it would be this game breakingly bad!
I have been really enjoying my time playing Elder Scrolls Online despite all the annoying bugs and think its a very cool game & would recommend it to others despite the bad bugs. I fully understand it takes time to fix bugs but really wish they would have taken more time in beta testing and fixing these serious issues before they released it. But in my thinking its still in beta mode and the paying customer is the tester. Just my 2 cents.

You're talking about two radically different bugs. There's a bug that stops you from performing any actions during combat until you hit Esc twice. What you're describing is lag. Which is something that can be on your end. And I'm willing to bet it is, because most people haven't been experiencing severe lag recently.

The non-lag related delay in actions such as weapon swapping, dodging, activating abilities, and using items in quickslots is a well known issue.

Currently there is nothing to do except wait for them to fix it.

I have noticed something similar...if I'm very close to dying it will never work even no matter how many times I spam it then boom dead, but if I'm half health it will instantly work.

Not sure if it's just coincidence every time with lag at that exact moment or something but it's just something I've noticed every time being in that situation.

Ha ! Have exactly the same problem...seems like a 2 - 4 seconds delay once you press "Q" glad you posted this, thought maybe it was me!

I don't agree with the fact that Sorcerers Anti magic zone prevent usage of potions

I haven't noticed it either. What happens in some cases is that TESO fires the action on release of the key, not on press. That's why it seem to lag or double fire

I barely die...and usually forget to use potions or just vendor them....pay better attention at what you are doing.

Well, I die a lot with medium armor on my Nightblade. Not a bad player just get ganked a lot is all.
