Spell resistance overcharged

My mage has currently overcharged spell resistance :open_mouth: With my previous character I've experienced the regeneration overcharging but I didn't expect that the resistance can also became overcharged. My first question is: It says that I have about 1090 spell resistance, so how exactly the overcharging affects it during combat?

Another question applies to avoiding the issue. I have no items with spell resistance bonus, just some perks can work this way. But I'm all full light armor mage, because of the light armor bonuses. Should I change some parts to different armour or maybe there's some another way to avoid the overcharging?

I'm in the same situation with five pieces of light armor. I don't mind it tho, it's hard to kill me unless you touch me.

Overcharging isn't a bad thing, although min/max players will generally try to push all abilities to the cusp of overcharge. It just means you receive diminished returns for every point of that attribute over the soft-cap. No need to change gear if you don't want to.

Overcharging spell resistance would be normal at lower levels. At higher levels it balances itself out a bit more. I've gone away from having more or less all attribute points in magica to having all 49 in health instead, since I gain so much magica and benefits of magica from other sources, meaning that the extra health is more welcomed than magica is anyway.

Don't think too much about the overcharge on spell resistance. It's inevitable anyway that it at times is overcharged.

Wait until you hit VR, unless you're a tank getting overcharged in Resists/Armor is much harder to do outside of temp abilities.

Thanks guys, now I got it.
So it means it's not so bad, but anyway it lowers my resistance a little. I won't change anything unless I find myself in a big trouble with some boss.

As a pure mage? That's something new! I'm putting more points in magica, and the rest goes in health. I can't afford to magica deficit especially when I play as a healer.
