Goblins, size matters

Sorry if this is not the appropriate forum, but not quite match except faction forums, and I don't want to post three times.
Why are the Goblins Human sized in this game?
In Oblivion they were about four foot tall, maybe less, and very green as I recall. Pretty sure I've seen pictures of them in Morrowind looking the same. In this game they are as tall as my character, and have grey skin, are they supposed to shrink in size over the next two eras?
Seems like a serious break in the Lore!
