The group of mauraders...bots?...

Has anybody seen a group of characters following in a seemless group killing mobs, seemly at random? They all run in step and simply mob the mobs. So I suspect these are what people call bots; but how do people do that anyway. What is a bot?

I know I probably shouldn't be asking this question (kinda like asking how to refine drugs or make meth... but it just seems strange.)

Yeah, they're bots. A bot is usually a scripting program that automates your character. They can be as simple as a VB script, or they can use "injection" methods for speed hacks or forcing the game to behave in a way not intended. Google "bot". You'll find tons of info.

I am not much of a computer person, so all this stuff is kinda... well, unexpected. It seems like there should be things the dev. should be able to do about it but again, not my realm

Im with you. I can barely google so I am at a loss when it comes to these kinds of things. I stay away from add-ons because I am scared I am going to break my game. Its happened to me before with other MMOs. LoL
