Spellpower: fix it

Only being able to increase it through jewelry enchants (which don't really change all that much from VR1-10, at least nowhere nearly as much as weapon damage does) makes me really sadpanda.

Or is there something I'm missing?

Spell damage scales naturally as you level, doesn't it?

spellPOWER does. Spelldamage is a combination of spellpower, max magika (which also gets capped that increases very slowly) and the ability coefficients.

Which means you are stuck at 80 (lvl*1.5+4.5) spellpower with minor increases from magika elevations (takes 20 magika to get ~1 spell damage equivalent) for the entire VR content. Meanwhile, everything else can be increased through gear.

Magic > Stamina damage from L1 to V8 ish. Then at the end, V10 (when this spell power cap is hitting hard) Stamina (weapons) starts to catch up.

It appears to be as working as designed.

This. I haven't really delved deeply into the mechanics, but I've never felt like spells were in any way lagging behind weapons.

But this means that you are essentially forced to respec and rebuild your entire setup at max rank... seems absurd, no?

Why are you forced to do anything? Just the stamina based guys get a little love at the end, Magic is still better then Stamina as you save Stamina for dodge etc. It just means Stamina based builds are not 100% useless

Sorcerer and Dragon Knight are still the king.
Templar are mana dry their whole life
Nightblade get a little love at the end

    not 'forced' but 'optimized'
Dodge should always be a last-resort ability. Effective crowd control and positioning should take care of the need for it. I am talking strictly from the damage output perspective.
If the two become on par, that's fine (they should really just be competitive always, this is obviously a problem - shouldn't take till VR10 for this to happen). But as long as one is better, min/maxers will always favor it.
