you are mistaken - in one of the official ESO pre release interview videos (forgive me for forgetting which one). when asked about the campaigns, part of the response included words to the effect of:
'we will have many different campaigns, some will be long - think in terms of months, not weeks - and some will be short - think in terms of a weekend or 48 hours'
