Rawhide --- what to do with it?

I have 30 rawhide but can't find anyplace to make it into something else. I could sell it for 120 gold but I suspect it makes pretty good armor but when I go to the clothing stations it just shows me the rawhide scraps I have that I need more of in order to make more rawhide.

How do I turn this into something better and where/

go to the clotheing station you can refine it and make leather armor from it.

you can actually not refine rawhide, only the scraps I think; at the clothing station click the button that looks like two arrows merging into 1 (create) and in the new screen click on the button to the right to scroll through the possible options... the first... 7.. I think options are light armor, the next are medium; you should be able to make medium armor from the rawhide

Yes, you cannot upgrade rawhide to next level (leather). You can store it for later use maybe your alt needs to craft something. Or make bunch of boots out of it and give to someone who is also learning clothing for extraction.

I thought perhaps there was a leather working station like there is an blacksmith and tailor station. I didn't expect rawhide to be used at the tailor's station because, to me, a tailor deals with cloth. They have people who sell leather armor so I expected it to be a seperate crafting but it isn't.

Oh well, now I know.

    Thanks for the info

Ensure you invest a skillpoint into the next crafting tier on your skill sheet or your recipes will not show up for that tier.
