Hello guys, once again will try to ask for advice ,how to increase my fps.
PC details: i7 4770k Arctic freezer i30 cpu fan asus gtx 780 8gb ram 1600 2TB memory PSU 730W OS Windows 7 64-bit Service Pack 1 pc few weeks old, its empty, installed few thinks only. GeForce drivers updated 337.50 I play on ultra settings ( view distance 62) Vsync on (75 herz Monitor) In town my fps jump from 40-55 sometime can be 60 if only few peoples walk around, but most of times its 45 -50. In pve most of times fps 60-75,but sometime can drop to 50-55 for example in place with many threes, grass and 5 peoples grind mobs nearly me. Now biggest problem...PVP while run on horse somewhere,or stay in base, even if there some peoples walk around, fps 60-75. but in massive fights, when taking castle with many peoples, and many enemys defence castle fps drop to 25-35. I tried change settings from ultra to low, strange but fps didn't change much, 30-40.so no see reason change settings,if still have same lag,and game looks horrible,so I stick to ultra permamently. I notice that gpu and cpu not work on full power.i used two softwares for monitor gpu and cpu while I was playing in cyrodil (massive fights + ultra settings) one and half hour. You can see its show that Max gpu usage was 81%,dont know in which moment it jumped to 81,but most of times it was at 60-65% . Cpu didn't work on full power as well,u cannot see max cpu usage on this picture, but I used Task manager for check how much cpu usage was,it was around 50%. Hope to see some usefull comments,i very want pew pew with constant 60 fps :) P.S sorry for my bad English.

EDIT: Add another picture with fps test + temperatures exactly in the moment when test is over. Not sure, but maybe it could help for you guys.Just trying give as much information as possible.Thanks.

Completely normal. The game is not capable of using all of the cores on a 4770k, 50% is actually really good. It is 100% impossible to get 60fps at all times no matter what hardware you have.

Not entirely accurate. I run 60fps constant.

    OP:

Turn off every background process that is running including any AV software. And disable windows aero.

Clean your registry and defrag the PC unless it is an SSD in which case DO NOT defrag it.

Make sure your ram is running at the correct timings. because it says it is 1600 doesn't mean it is running at that speed.

Make sure ALL drivers including windows drivers are up to date. Make sure your bios is up to date. Make sure all GPU drivers are up to date.

Why is your board so damn hot? You could cook a steak dinner on it. You have a heat problem there and should shut it down and check out what is going on.

If you are overclocking I would return everything back to normal and follow the above advice.

Also, once you get everything back up turn all the game settings to the absolute lowest. Go into the Nvidia settings and turn off any settings you have profiled for the game. Set the resolution to the recommended setting (In the GAME not in windows) and start increasing one thing at a time.

Trouble shoot the problem then reply with your findings. I'd like to know how it turns out for you.

Did you build this computer or buy it?

Turn off vertical Sync. Forget to mention that. Do that first well second after you figure out why your motherboard is so hot.

thanks for copy paste from another thread... PC in clean, its have installed few thinks only like Skype, elder scrolls online,bf4,drivers, 834gb free of 931gb. Drivers up to date. Never ever using any anti virus softwares, and wont do it,not having problems with that.not any applications on while I play, only gpu monitoring GPU Tweak. Not OC cpu or gpu.I choose parts, and shop build pc for me. Motherboard is fine, asus z87k users, have same bug with some softwares, display incorrect mothearboard temperature. there is another picture with not buged software . If Vsync off, where I had 75 fps its sometime going to 100,but in towns/pvp fps drop low.
    EDIT: upload picture about memory of ram,its fine,work on 1600. 799x2 =1598.

I agree with that, 60FPS on Ultra in pvp --> no way.

If you lower a few settings, OC a bit then you might be able to achieve this. But Full HD & Ultra is currently just not possible as your CPU will bottleneck before your GPU even gets to start working at full power.

ESO does not use more than 1 thread at one core for rendering, so that your GPU has to constantly wait to do its job.

35 in PVP is actually quite good, by turning off Vsync you might get a few more.

Yeah, I have an i7-4770k and an EVGA SC 780ti with ACX cooler, and I don't get 60FPS everywhere. I get 60FPS in a lot of places, but not in crowded cities, not when it's raining, and not in PVP. My computer is a little bit better than the OP's and I don't get 60FPS everywhere, so...

I can´t explain this, as its theoretically not possible with the current client. But hey, if you could post your system specs, screenshots, maybe even a video while you play on those 100FPS in pvp, your user settings.ini - then ZO might be able to look into it.

It appears you found a way to use more than one core for rendering, let us know how you did that please. ;)

You are getting 73 fps starting at the wall. @killerintheline9 said is that he is getting "90-100 fps everywhere." Everywhere includes Cyrodiil during a battle when fps for everyone drops off a cliff.

OP: Please take screen shots of HWMonitor while you are under load. Get into the biggest battle you can or use 3DMark. I want to see what the temps are while you are working those parts. Also, if you can post a pic of the inside of your tower that would be helpful as well.

My computer is actually a teeny bit better than that. I can definitely see 90-100FPS in the indoor areas. I usually run at or near 60 (I normally keep vsync on unless testing) in most situations (even crowded cities only drop me to 55 or so). That said, I have not tried PVP yet, so I imagine it will drop more there.

But yeah, it sounds like they are getting 90-100FPS in an indoor area and either "assuming" that it is like that everywhere, or just trolling and trying to make less knowledgeable people believe they have a super computer or something.

I'll get between 80 and 100 when in towns but that is with V-Sync off. With V-Sync on my fps is maxed at 60 with a rare drop below it. That is only because my monitors refresh rate is 60hz. Wish I could get a Ben-Q. that would be nice.

By default the game's engine has a 100FPS cap. It is possible to change this with something in settings.ini, I'm just not quite sure of the setting.

Check that link out I found. maybe it will help some of you. Copy and paste the entire stuff in the blue and paste into your usersettings.ini file. Don't forget to make a back up of the original file before you do it.

    This is definitely not true!

There was a good article about that topic on tweakguides.com but its down there. Luckly overclock.net qoutes it somewhere on their forums.

No kidding, I can tell the difference between 30 and 60fps just using peripheral vision, let alone looking directly at it. It's actually possible to see well above 60FPS in some situations (it really depends on what you're looking at and how much motion blur there is)...but THAT is a moot point since most of us are using 60Hz monitors. If you are using a 60Hz monitor there is no point in anything above 60FPS, since the monitor itself can't display it.

I would like to hear explanation too how you get 90-100 fps almost everywhere.

That said I have not monitored my fps for little while so I just might do that today once again. I have hardly gone above 60 fps. Of course it might be that I don't have powerful enough PC.

The reason why is because your V-Sync is turned off or you have a high end monitor that has a high refresh rate. V-Sync synchronizes the fps with the refresh rate of your monitor to prevent tearing and a crappy looking view. You can definitely see the difference with it on compared to it being off. There are only a handful of monitors that go beyond 60hz and they are very expensive and in my opinion not worth it. Most peoples monitors are 60hz because this is not something someone thinks of when buying a computer or monitor. People tend to lean towards the response time.

I agree with that analysis, he prob has a 120+ monitor with a fast response, such as one of the benq gamer monitors. Vsync does make a diff.
And even with all that im quite skeptical he is getting 90-100 in big pvp battles and the like.

yeah guys, at pvp big battles drops to 65-80 between.. 65fps when multiple spell effects on screen same time. i have 32g, 1600mhz hyperX ram. Gtx 780 OC Msi at pci-e 3.0, motherboard asus P9X79.

"he prob has a 120+ monitor with a fast response, such as one of the benq gamer monitors. Vsync does make a diff."

    just 2ms

"LCD screens with a slow response time are often unsuitable to play fast paced computer games. A worst-case response time of >16ms is insufficient for video gaming, due to the human eye being able to perceive differences in response times greater than 5ms. The difference between response times once below 10ms at 60 Hz begin to become harder to perceive due to limitations of the human eye."
