Short-length light chest, crafting...

Hello there,

I have used Motif 1-10 and I can't seem to craft short-length chest pieces, I can only seem to craft full robes. Is there anyway to craft them or is just they only are obtainable via drops?

The example I was using is Cotton Jerkin.

Currently you can only get jerkins off of light armor vendors in towns, though I hear that both a dye system attached to the achievement system and craftable jerkins are coming.

Please have a good answer for this. A robe only option for light armor is bad. Nearly as bad as no color dyes for unique appearances

I feel your pain. apparently we can't craft them. those seem to be drop only items. I want to craft them too.

Best you can hope for is the ability to create costumes, I think. That seems more likely then them adjusting the current crafting for Robes.

Most MMOs don't have the crafting variation available in this game, so please don't go off the rails with this. I'm sure they'll be adding more options as time goes on. Remember that we're playing a vanilla version of the game. It's silly to compare it to any MMOs that have been around for years.

It seems that we can only loot them for the time being Which is a real disappointment. You'd thought that at least one of the races would have liked short-light armor rather than robes. Idk

ZOS already said dyes will be coming....at some point. I hope more crafting options will come to. I miss SWG where crafting was a real job and great crafters were respected. Patience. The weaver spins the threads,we must walk on them.

When is the dye feature coming?

ESO is already getting there. Wait about 3 more weeks, then crafters with 8-trait pieces will start to emerge. And I'm sure Craglorn will introduce another 8-trait set.

As long as they don't make the SWTOR mistake of waiting a whole year to implement a broken color match system they can't go wrong. I have faith in ZOS. Have a beer and some cheese and just relax.
