Does it exist? Or any of the other common ES style like dwarven? Or am I overlooking something?

dwarven is no longer a seperate motiff, but a steel type you can blacksmith in, so you can make any type of (steel) equipment from dwarven steel in any style.

glass isn't in the game as of now anyway

Hope in the future glass armor will be possible, it has always been my favorite in TES games.

    Glass is obtained through mining.
Glass armor was like metall shell inlaid with glass crystals and yet it always was Light armor in TES.
They could add it only to Blacksmithing profession without breaking common sense.
But profession that responsible for making Light armors is... Clothing.

IMO there is no way they can meet both requirement. Unless they add Glass plants so we could harvest Fiberglass :D

Yeah, I think glass would be a no-brainer add-on for future content.

Catches-the-Sun - Argonian Templar - Master Smith, Provisioner, Chemist & Tailor
Valaren Arobone - Dunmer Flamewalker - Master Woodworker, Provisioner, Assassin
Kazahad - Khajiiti Arcane Archer - Master Thief
    V'orkten - Redguard Swordmaster
Finnvardr the Frenzied - Werewolf Berzerker

Yeah, but in this game, there is no light armor. There's only robes. Glass will have to go into heavy, just like Elven did.

There is at least one NPC, the head of the swordmaster's division in the arena quests in Reaper's March who is wearing proper dwemer type dwarven armor like the assassin in the cinematic, so I guess the model exists in game, but there is no way I know of to get it.

As for glass, its possible to get weapons that *look* like glass in the same color theme as glass from skyrim, from a certain recolor of ancient elf motif not sure what level though. The armor however, is just what maormer/ayleid and mages guild members wear

It would probably be heavy armor pieces with low armor values.

I doubt it. It'll probably be either directly under, or equal to Ebony/Calcinium. Glass is a rare and precious volcanic rock.(in TES) It has always been regarded as elite armor.

ESO don't use the standard TES system with materials for standard armor.
It uses racial styles + material, this gives far more variation.
Next update don't give new materials but later is likely to do perhaps more styles to.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Techically as light armor is clothing; glass would be medium armor in ESO I think. I can imagine a glass motif that would be like a shiny scaled armor for cloth, standard glass armor for medium and some form of 'bulky' glass for heavy. We are already able to make bones out of cloth and metal (see barbaric and bosmer motifs) so why not glass?

in TES there are three armor types:
    Heavy
    Light
    Clothing

    In TESO there is:
    Heavy
    Medium
    Light

    Glass would be medium armor?
leather base with glass additional materials?

I don't know if you guys noticed but the ayleid king you save in the main quest is carrying someting pretty much looking like a glass sword. I wonder if it's craftable or not.

Don't forget about Mithril armor. I think it is a light armor if I remember. Will they ever bring that back? I loved that armor.

It would be cool to see a nice light, medium, and heavy variant for glass, stalhrim, and amber armor and weapon types. They could make the stalhrim armor ancient Skaal motif, the glass could be Buoyant Armigers motif, and amber could be Dumag gro-Bonk's Motiff. Just a thought but lore wise I believe that all fits together its just a matter of making the time lines fit together to not destroy any lore. I know Dumag gro-bonk is the only one who could create amber armor but to make it fit in our timeline they could make it so its learned from an ancestor of his. any thoughts?

They're probably saving it as an 'elite' thing, either motif or material. If material, it makes sense as being set aside for further updates that increase the level cap.

I see where people would consider it as a material used to craft a style/race motif but I sure hope they make it a motif...

Heck they could add a glass motif AND a glass material....that'd be cool. Make the ore nodes rare in all areas but still obtainable. It could allow for a variation (almost like a trait) to any existing racial armor.

Hey they've gotta save something back for expansion content.
TL;DR - If you got this far without reading the entire post you're either too lazy or suck at reading comprehension and probably don't belong in a public forum anyway. Just move along, you wouldn't understand.

They used up the early options with veteran slap on materials. So for v11 + 12 more likely to see Elevenium, Eleventhread and Elevenhide rather than mithril or glass
