Anybody think enchanting takes WAY to long to level? OMG....100% YES! :'(
I been at it since 5 day pre-release and I'm only level 20! Keep trying to team up with somebody for skillups but nobody replies. That or they want to level on runes I cant use cuz I aint got the fricken damn level to do it! Really sad cuz I have all my runes saved since I started the game on other charater. So, I have a crap load of runes collecting dust!

You can currently disenchant any level of rune on any character. So level should not stop you. I have a friend who sends my crafter (16 enchant, can make level 35-45 runes iirc) level 50+ runes he doesn't need to break down and it gives me massive improvements.

    Same here.
Pre-Order, early access and am Veteran 6 on Level 22 Enchanting.
    Insanely slow.
I have read the guides and all that but still very, very slow.
My alt, who now crafts for my main for deconstructs is level 15, he is catching my main.
Deconstructs just pay way too little.
I am almost 50 in Wood, Cloth and Black, and I have not even bothered crafting.
All those levels are from deconstruction only.
I have created and deconstructed on Enchanting and am only half the level.

got my enchanting up to 24 now.... I have to say getting a buddy to trade out runes helps a whole lot.

also crafting 45-50 purple runes does give a.. decent...ish amount of craft xp.

before actually getting a buddy in one of my guilds to send / receive crafted runes from enchanting levels did take forever to level tho.

Find a nice spot to farm runes (VR content recommended) AND find someone to exchange runes OR make an alt so you are able to deconstruct your alt's glyphs or vice versa.

Still a bit of work (needs quite some hours of farming), but made it to a 40 enchanter this way (at 40, you are able to build any glyph)

Find a crafting buddy, that is the most important step for enchanting. Then, save up all of those green and blue aspect runes for the higher levels, and use them in crafting sessions when you can finally do potency 6 and higher. That will have the inspiration come flying in.

My enchanter is at 45 currently, and I am not doing crafting sessions anymore since you can craft up to the current max level glyphs once you hit 40. I just keep feeding him all the glyphs I find while leveling through vet content.

lol, I agree :) It sucks to level. This craft generally is just a pain in the behind and barely worth the effort. Would be nice to see it streamlined some to be on par with the other crafts.

The trick is simple only trade green blue and purple for deconstruct
I started this and got from lv 16 to 26 in 1 week (would be faster is people responded do trade enchants)

Good tip but I think expecting people to have to partner up to level a craft is unreasonable.

I don't really understand why they can't just make this craft level up like the other crafts.

I'm way behind where I want to be but I have been assembling the lower ones on an alt for my main to deconstruct... helps some..

But yeah overall I can't make VR stuff on my veteran yet so think it is too slow

I made enchanting alt. My main semd the alt all the glyhps and runes, the alt decons and gaons massive IP. The higher lvl my main, the higher enchanting lvl on my alt. The only thing I have to worry about os putting tje skill points into higher tier enchantments and higher tier extractions.

Leveling enchanting is like watching paint dry. But I think part of the problem is my difficulty in finding enchanting nodes in game. They simply just seem like they are few and far between on the Dominion side.

I can go do a quest and come across multiple nodes for woodworking and clothier but I count my lucky stars if I even found more than one enchanting node on the run.

Since it's the slowest to level, does this mean the devs think it's the most powerful crafting skill?

As for lvling enchanting its easy and i have out leveled my lvl, so stop playing solo and join the MMO part of this game.

Enchanting is not the best out there, it still have ALOT of tweaking to be done, can find better glyphs(same QL) as i can make thats just wrong, can find VR 10-10 glyphs but can only craft VR 8-10 glyphs that add less(same QL), and over all the gain from making yellow is not ALOT better then just making a White glyphs sadly, but then it all stacks up in the end i guess.

i agree and hate the fact that i have to rely on some other player in order to gain the most exp gains, or use my alt. it makes no sense to me and is an added hassle to an already annoying craft. I did notice however, that after the last update the exp gains were more for my regular deconstruction and enchanting, without trading. still takes forever tho but im sticking to it out of stubborness

Yeah, having to rely on others just to get some good skillups is kinda crappy deal. Its sad that its that way but thats just the nature of the beast. Always hard to find good people that wanna team up and do things. To many Rambo's out there that would rather be solo. Works out great for people that got alot of friends that play but for us other people that dont it kinda sucks. And then you got people that are not your level too so cant team up with them. All that makes for slim pickings.

I think that too many people have quick-leveled to VR10, which gives them an unreasonable set of expectations for the game system as a whole.

I think that leveling enchanting is fairly easy with an enchanting buddy. I'm level 36 in enchanting without investing more than 5k money in it just by sending my friend runes so he crafts for me and him sending me runes which I craft for him. Currently my main character is at veteran rank 3 and I can craft up to vr 8 glyphs. For people who don't have a friend who is leveling enchanting, you can always join an enchanter's guild. There are several at least on the European server.

I guess the morale of the story is join a decent guild and have dedicated crafters that everyone supports.

I do enchanting in exchange for the glyphs people find, as we have people from 5 - Vet10 it means I can get a lot of glyphs to decon and then I make what people want. It's still a slow craft as most I'm given are white so takes buckets to churn through for XP. But not far off of 40 now and thats the last potency unlock.

No, it probably has more to do with the fact that an active crafter will be 30-40 levels higher in his or her other crafts than in enchanting.

I maxed enchant trading green, blue, purple and even some gold from the highest craftable glyphs I could make in each moment, and trading whites ones (Ta) with the lower level glyphs. Took me a while anyway

im only lvl 20 as well and have played as long as OP, but hey im in no rush, I dont need everything done in a day, and then come back on the forum "wanting" more content or complain about the lack of it, as I can see others already have done, because they spend their game playing style grindning hard.

Even with a partner it's still stupidly slow to level past 20... you basically have get lucky with rare or epic drops. White quality is near useless to craft or breakdown and you'll run out of potency runes for your level quickly (and chances are your actual character level will be 2 zones higher than your potency runes)

My partner and I trade mostly green to purple got the creation of 12 glyphs per pass - I get almost a level per pass at my current level of 35. I am usually too lazy to round them up and mail them to him to level faster. Not hard - just takes a bit longer than the 10 min to get from 1 to 50 in the other crafts

Yeah, pretty much the only non facepalm way to level is just create and trade back and forth with a friend for deconning, and of course, the better quality, ie Blues (Denita) and purples (Rekuta) will get the most bang for your deconning buck.

I disagree on the last part. Prices are sharply going up on runes (I think everyone is fed up and trying to grind it out now, where most people didnt bother with it before). The XP to cost ratio on Rekuta's are far too steep when compared to Denata and Jejota, providing you have enough potency stones.

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/tar0NVpA6y9CCPWButWfz5w/htmlview

Over the last weekend, I confirmed that the google doc spreadsheet was in fact correct in that T5 potency (45-50, not 40-50) will be your best bang for your buck. Do not use those rare T6 runes for anything other than discovery. T7 is less XP than T5. T8 is very slightly ahead of T5 for experience, but much more expensive.

Jejota will net 4415 XP, plus they are more readily available because a lot of people have the mentality that you should only use Rekuta's for leveling, which is absolutely wrong from a min/max perspective. Jejota would be the best bang for your buck, but like I said, only if you have plenty of potency stones. Denata gets you 5518 XP (difference of 1103 xp) for about 3x the cost of Jejota, and Rekuta gets you 6622 XP (difference of 2207 xp over Jenota) but cost you about 8x as much. As you can see, from a min/max perspective and when you have enough potency stones, Jejota wins.

I grinded T5 green runes all the way from 25-36. The amount of XP you get is set, regardless of your level.

    Its a waste of time:
    1) Consumes vast amounts of inventory
    2) Grind to level
    3) Grind to find "Lucky Dip" mats (what you manage to find is all luck)
    4) Only way to level is to "Buddy" up apparently, independent ability, don't think so.
    5) Cannot farm for a particular mat, we have Green, Yellow and Red, now guess what's behind the Green Door..........geez!
I can just see Smiths or Woodworkers having to dig, or chop indicated lumps of stuff in a "hope" they "may" get something useful (stand back for the howls of indignation)
    6) You basically make junk nobody wants
    7) You are forced to create enchants for non existent items (jewelery)

Now tell me its, fun, useful, oh, yea, once you get to 50 you can make cool stuff.
    ....yea.......yea.....yea.... then again maybe not.
