Dungeon XP is fine.

So I guess some people are griping about the mobs not giving enough XP. Here is the deal, The Bosses do give a hearty amount of XP, as they should. In about 4 hours playtime I knocked out a little over 2million XP (50% of my VR9 level) running Wayrest Sewers. The final boss alone gave me 111k XP.

Now I can't remember how much XP i was getting from pre Vet Dungeon Bosses, but I'm pretty sure that a dungeon clear was somewhere in the neighborhood of around 5% of a level.

The reality is, with a reasonably intelligent group, you can clear a dungeon in about 25 minutes. A reasonably intelligent player can complete a quest in about 25 minutes. The XP rewards are comparable.

    Completely disagree.

Running quests over time will yield significantly more xp than running instances. You have not factored in the many time sinks that grouping yields - esp random pugs which by far the majority of players run in. It takes quite a bit of time and effort to form successful groups - and at the moment with current low xp rewards there is motivation to avoid it and continue with quest-grinding.

This in turn has turned many players who are not quest grinders to sour on the pve in this game.

I am an MMO veteran, and this is the only game I've played where players are actually avoiding group content because of low xp. Grouping is becoming more and more difficult in this game for players that prefer group content, and the devs should have reason to be concerned.

Most of the complaints are directed toward pre-VR dungeons. While the reverse is true in VR+ content, with questing providing inadequate experience.

Yes, my comments are addressed only to pre-VR dungeons; I have no idea about the state of play at VR levels.

    Um no.

You clearly have a huge misconception of how the game works in the VR levels and especially what the term XP means at those levels. At the VR levels you continue to gain XP, but use VP to gain levels.

A- What your talking about is VP. And yes, AT and ONLY AT VR3+, VR dungeons give reasonable VP. (Massive VP level penalties apply VR1-2 when running a VR5 dungeon, and at V6-7 when running a 10).
B- Each monster gives in the range of 10-18 XP. Patheticly low. Bosses give maybe 25. Slowest skill advancement in the game. Makes no sense.

Mobs should give XP in dungeons. I have at least 5 friends that would gladly repeat dungeons (on alts etc.) after the first run with the quest, if only the mobs gave more than 3-5% of a normal mob of the same level in the overworld.

mob in the World and in a dungeon are the same, why should they give more?
only the bosses should give a fair amount of xp.
as fare as whats better or fastere to gain your lvls is up to each player.
