Templar DPS build

Hello,

I'm looking for a solution to my problem;
I really love ranged dps, magic to be more specific and my guild members told me that I should play a dps sorcerer instead of a Holy Archer (Templar with bow dps)..

Can anyone provide me with a really viable ranged dps build for templar or is it just better to play a sorcerer?

Thank you.

    yes, please play what fits you and not what others think or say is better. as for bow/archer- its pretty decent but so are all skills. you might find it interesting that the bow is pretty decent dps and requires no mana use, unless you use the abilities which take stamina) but it still does pretty decent dps with out the abilities. If youre looking for a decent ranged offense for templar then take a look at dawns wrath under the class tab. youre going to want to get the ultimate for veteran dungeons anyways.

    Limu'Kai EP Sahxleel dragonknight(vampire mage)

    First play what you want!

    Second, I would use destro staff and I am myself going too test this theory. The Adric spear dose tons of damage of you use it right, the AoE is nice as well, with destro staff passives and full light amour along with Templars abblity too heal will work vary well in groups for supporting the healer, also the abblitys in Templar cause healing too happen as well which is also a nice support roll. I'm not sure if they would be amazing dps over all but in dungeons esp vet doungons that extrah bit will be helpfull also I would recommend bone shield and necrotic orb as well they are another vary supportive ablitys. Also me plats have a ablity that will store damage and then multiply that damage by a certain % that's also vary nice esp if placed on a boss

    I agree with you completely, however, the Spear tree looks like it's made for close-ranged combat, unless you are spamming the spear-throw ability.

    I like the ability of having a bow at my disposal and the fact that someone in my guild is telling me that other than a healer, I should just delete my character if I spec outside of healer... I hope this isn't a universal view on that.

    How about this tell your guild too go f*** off and message @badbabe and tell Alex sent you. Frankly there are so many Templar healers and tanks I want too see what a dps build is goin too be like, I really think it has a ton of potential!

    I play a dps/ support Templar, and I do amazing dps both ranged and melee. When in a dungeon, I use the dawns wrath dot stacked with the bow dot, then spam auto attack with the bow. I use the FTC addon so that I can see when the dot timers run out, then repeat the rotation. I have had a few comments about great dps from tanks. Of course this gets a lot of mob agro, but I have two ranged knock backs to handle them. I use the javalin when magicka pool is high, and the bow ability scatter shot when I want to use stamina. This min maxes both attributes and gives me a wide variety of endless aoe and knockbacks.

    Edit. By bow dot I mean the aoe. The morphed fire aoe. Sorry I am on my noble atm. And I can't recall exact skill names.

    What's the FTC addon actually called? I'd love to download it.

    Quite useful to get your DPS numbers, heals etc when working on build. Track/display buffs and debuffs is also nice for group play.
