Is the game just broken (pet problem)?

I'm a sorcerer, and lately almost EVERY fight I get into my clanfear or whatever he's called just stands in the background and watches me die. I can't seem to finish any missions because of this.

No I've noticed this as well. Clannfears seemed to have stopped working as efficiently as they use to.

They've dropped from nearly always charging a nearby enemy to... pretty much the AI of the companions in the main quest.

Well, until they fix it, game is pretty much useless to me because I'm getting tired of having to resurrect over and over again. Guess I'll wait for a fix to be announced and then come back then.

and the sarcasm pretty much always come from people with 3-5 stars.

i think they are nice add on to making people leave and getting this game as fast as possible F2P.

You know what does help? A bug report. Fill one out.

I had the same problem with my clan fear and my twilight. I have to de-summon and re-summon them before I get into a fight so that they can join in, instead of just standing there. I wish you the best OP, and everyone else who has this problem.

Back to playing Guild Wars 2 until I hear they've fixed it. Really didn't want to make that decision but not much more you can do.

You say that like the sorcerer is useless and unplayable without the one pet... Your money, your decision.

The pets are fine for me, on the rare occasions I bother to use them.

While there is a problem with the clanfear, it is certainly not something that happens "every fight". It happens occasionally, and a resummon fixes it. You should have no problem finishing missions.

Damn, even the pets are getting bored. Clanfear: *yawn* "No, how about YOU fight that mudcrab. I'll be over here taking a nap"

I use the clanfear all the time and it work nice for me, only things who might have changed is that if disappear pretty often then passing trough load doors.

My pet sometimes suffers this bug and refuses to fight, but it is nowhere near as frequent or as bad as the problems with AI quest companions. Not to mention the areas outside of the main story line are much easier, so in normal gameplay you're not as reliant on your summoned supports in the first place.

Also a quick resummon fixes the bug.
