Hi all,
I have a rather bizarre theory. When starting a new game, as you move about your cell you will see a small bowl by the cell door. Now, in most cases (90% + in my experience) there will be a piece of cheese in said bowl. However, sometimes, that bowl is empty. CHEESELESS! Your newly created character simply goes about its business without that bit of delicious cheese. Not a big deal, right?
WRONG! My friends, that cheese seems to be special. It feels as though the gods themselves show their favour through the act of placing cheese. Cheese there? Gods are on your side. No Cheese? Woe upon your miserable existence!
On those rare occurrences where I had no delectable dairy based snack (and I make a *lot* of characters, so it's happened a few times) my luck, as it were, was naught. I got absolutely no drops from any of the creatures in the prison area. NONE. A single gold coin was the only reward for my bravery. The chests? All empty. The boxes, bags and urns? Not. A. Single. Lockpick.
Needless to say, I deleted those characters, for I do not wish to tempt worse luck on their cursed existences.
So be wary, gentle readers. When creating a new adventurer in the magical world of ESO, take a quick check to see if your cheese is there. If so, rejoice and be ready for magical mayhem! If however, there is not a single spec of fromage to be seen, logout immediately, delete the character, and beg forgiveness for your sins! Rumour has it that those that do not follow those instructions, are damned to wait on Vampire spawns for the rest of time!
The cheese is object 412 of 538. It is a plague upon the lactose intolerant.
