Why no Fresh Fishy Sticks?

Umfafa_Umfafason
Some oddities in the provisioning crafting line have cropped up and are kinda silly oversights. Hopefully this can be remedied by a quick patch.

Catching fish. Why aren't these included as a craftable item for food? That's just insanely silly. Catch a fish, make some fishy sticks with it. Um, nope...right now you gotta get your mudcrab meat out of a barrel. Gotta sell those fresh fish and use the boxes on the docks for ingredients.

Which brings me to my second oddity. Can't get mudcrab meat from killing a mudcrab? Why the heck not? Same thing goes for frogs legs. I spent a good hour running around the swamp killing frogs thinking I was getting frogs legs. Um, nope....right now you gotta get your frogs legs from a barrel too.

Why? Fix? Please? :)

Why cant you get a daedra heart from a daedra but you can get it from deconstructing a piece of armour or by finding one in a drawer at the inn at Stormhaven? Best to check in half your common sense at the door when entering an MMO.

I think the current in game process of producing fishy sticks is rather close to reality. And I don't think you can catch block fish, yet.
"You've probably figured that out by now. Let's hope so. Or we're in real trouble... and out come the intestines. And I skip rope with them!"

i personally would like to see more immersion when it comes to ingredients and other resources, we should be able to interact with crops to gather provisioning ingredients, as well as harvesting animals we kill. Daedra should have a chance (albeit a small one) to drop daedra hearts. When refining ore you should be able to get the racial crafting stones, with the higher tier ores (especially veteran ores) giving the very rare motif crafting stones (argentum, copper, palladium, etc.)

maybe when they introduce player housing we can get some Skyrim: Hearthfire like features, like planting plots to grow provisioning or alchemy items (maybe expandable with gold purchases like bank space; or purchasing expansions for mudcrab ponds, bee hives, etc. to gather other ingredients)

i also think they need to make fishing useful, cause it's just a way to make gold right now. if i could get provisioning or alchemy ingredients from it much more better.

IMO daedra hearts should drop only from lvl 40+ daedra except banekin [too easy to farm] and with like 2,5-5% chance.

i agree, scamps, daedra soldiers (like i'm going to try and type out those soldier types >.>) and winged twilights should have the small chance after lvl 40. larger and tougher enemies, like daedroth, harvester's, spider daedra, and those xivilai should have a slightly higher drop rate i think.

and of course boss daedra and daedric titans should have a near perfect drop rate in my opinion.
but going back to fishing, we know from skyrim that there are a number of ways to prepare fish in TES, why not give us more recipes and let us use the fish we catch in those recipes? i think it would go a ways to helping create a better way to provision yourself and make it so that botters wouldn't be able to profit from that particular part of provisioning, so we don't have to go through another ham handed 'fix'
