Armor buffing spells not working in PvP/Cyrodiil

I have noticed that when casting armor buff spells in pvp, that my armor does not improve. Is this working as intended? Rune Focus for templar still improves spell defense but does not add the armor buff. Can someone answer this for me? The same for my sorcerer spells.

This is because of the way scaling works in Cyrodiil if you're under level 50 you're automatically scaled and many buffs don't apply until after you hit 50 or higher

I found this irritating, as well. I realize the idea behind wanting to 'even the odds,' but the spell effects should scale as well.

The normalizing effectively nullified several of my intended skills the first time I visited.

There are two plus sides to this:

1. With the latest patch, you have the option to disable Battle Leveling for Cyrodil, it's in a submenu along with controls and settings via Escape.
2. If you leave it enabled, you can strip down and have no repair costs...your armor no longer has any armor class effect. (Spell resistance is an exception to this). You can charge into battle with a wiffle ball bat and hit the same as a level 49 with a two handed enchanted battle axe...

VR's which do not have to be battle leveled are still likely to hand you your butt...but at least you won't trash your armor in the process.

It's a great (optional) idea...they just need to work on the execution a bit.

As a VR 7 I would love to meet and entire faction naked with wiffle ball bats. It's not about winning or losing, it's about how many screen shots I could work into memes.

Indeed...@Pyatra, it should at least be worth a mass effect 1 second stun, right? Just because of the WTF factor?
