It is safe, I got in touch with ZOS about using this beautiful SweetFX. Here are the emails if interested. Reason I asked this was because the last post had a lot of concern over using this in ESO.
Me: I read a forum where someone has enabled SweetFX in The Elder Scrolls Online. This SweetFX removed the red tint which honestly is much easier on the eyes and an overall more clear look! Now this is just my opinion and I understand that, but my question is would it be okay if other players and I used SweetFX in The Elder Scrolls Online? Without the concerns of a ban or something else? I respect ZOS which is the reason I'm asking this, plus I'd hate to see other players banned for this. Thanks for your time, and hope to see you in Tamriel!

Me: You guys over at ZOS respond so quick and you listen/respond to community feedback so well, it's awesome. Which just makes my physical collector's edition purchase I made back in February even better. Tell everyone around you I said thanks for the customer service. I work at Amazon and love when another company is so friendly. Okay I'm done lol!
ZOS: Greetings Traveller!
Any software that you use without it influencing other players is okay for us, as long as it´s on your system only. We do not support any 3rd party software obviously, but if you want to try, there´s no harm done.
If there´s anything else I can do, please let me know.

Me: Thanks Cedric! One last question, would you be okay if I posted this email response from you on the reddit.com/r/elderscrollsonline subreddit? If not, I completely understand. Reason is will be to give peace of mind to players that are not sure if this SweetFX is something that could cause a ban.
ZOS: Hey again.
I can´t explicitely say yes or no, that´s actually up to you. Me personally - I´m ok with it, if it helps other players.

TL:DR - ZOS said it is okay to use SweetFX
It hasn't been officially confirmed whether or not this mod is allowed in this game yet. So be careful with this. While the fog really does annoy me, allowing texture mods can lead to a slippery slope of people using texture mods to see through walls, and highlight healers in PVP. Amongst many other possibilities to cheat.

SweetFX isn't a texture mod though. Everything it does is done through shaders. It doesn't actually alter any of the game files.
Again, if you can see on your screen, something that makes it so you can see through a wall, or highlight healers, or what not, it may not physically effect another players game, but it will effect their experience, give you a super huge advantage, and it is cheating, again, be careful. People can go through the same method as whoever the creator of SweetFX went through to make mods that would do as I stated above, in which, it would be considered cheating. As far as I know, the team is STILL looking into this. Just don't be surprised one day if it suddenly doesn't work. Or if you suddenly cant log in.There is a thread over at reddit that allegedly has a response from a ZOS support person saying it's ok. I wouldn't trust that this is 100% legit but here is the info and link:It is safe, I got in touch with ZOS about using this beautiful SweetFX. Here are the emails if interested. You're welcome!stefaan.de.wasch1b16_ESO wrote: »All it does is alter the shaders and coloring, so ofcourse it's legit and not against any rules... if it was, adjusting the colors on your monitor would be too
Thanks for the tip man, game looks sweet(fx) indeed
You apparently were not able to clearly comprehend what I wrote. I said OTHER people could use the same method that the creator of this mod used to create OTHER mods that could allow people to see through walls. Think before you insult.stefaan.de.wasch1b16_ESO wrote: »Again, if you can see on your screen, something that makes it so you can see through a wall, or highlight healers, or what not, it may not physically effect another players game, but it will effect their experience, give you a super huge advantage, and it is cheating, again, be careful. ... All it does is adjust your "video card's" settings... it does "not" alter anything "in" the games... but yeah sure.. .wear a tin foil hat and go off on how it "could" potentialy disable walls and mark healers... sure... go ahead...
This is an FXAA Injector style software that does nothing but enhance graphics...
Anyone else having trouble making theirs work with the new Patch?
