VR dungeons requirements and what to do with dungeons I missed ?

Hi,

so leveling as a DD-NB I tried to find some groups to do each 4 player dungeon in each zone you know.
Problem is, as a DD I didn't want to wait 2 hours to find a group so I just kept playing.

Now I just hit VR1. Made a healing build (light armor, resto staff and siphoning skills) to be able to find some groups.

But the group finder tool only allow me to do Vet dungeons now, can I heal this with a lvl 50 gear I just crafted ??

What can I do about the old dungeons I missed ? I think I can earn some skill point if I complete them. But I can't queue for them...

thank you

It depends on you if you can heal the vet-dungeons, your gear should be just fine if you're good as healer.
For the skill points in the normal dungeons you can't que up for em anymore but you can just travel to those find a grp and do the quest, and gain the skill point.

Forgot to answer sorry, so yeah I've been doing old dungeons with some low lvl DDs . Got the skill points. Thank you for the info.

As for the Vet dungeon, I tried to heal first in PVP and it was nice, so I just tried banished cells vet version and well... the two DDs weren't focusing same add, tank was only tanking the boss, and everybody was standing into a huge flame AoE, so after 3 wipes they blamed my heals and left the group.

I'm not sure I have to blame my heals though, I mean, when everybody takes 1500 damages in less than 2s I don't see how anybody could save the situation.
Saw several posts where ppl said NB could be pretty nice healers with resto staff and Siphoning skills, but maybe not ?

PUG's are always a hit/miss thing don't worry too much, but u do know that the heavy attack of the restoration staff restores 10% of your max. magicka on hit? I did not know this, since its not stated anywhere and its a special property of the resto staff.

My understanding is that a Templar is needed for VR healing, mainly to remove status effects. I've seen a vamp NB healer do OK in BC, but beyond that the feedback I'm getting is not promising for this build.

I'm a siphon dps healer myself (or was until VR1) but am either going to save it for PvP or respec. I'm not ready to test it on my guildmates (e.g. repair bills) nor do a pug.

You really need high (ranged) DPS in VR too.(such I am now training) Obviously standing in flames is never good but I think the restro staff will only take you so far, and that is when running with competent players.

I just completed my first VR dungeon and after failing with other groups, this group with a templar healer was completed without a single wipe and only a handful of deaths. Templar healers are simply the only practical choice right now.

Templar healer are easier because they got a healing Spell they don't have to target anywhere - but that's about it. You can do those dungeons with a sole resto staff, but your group needs to know when to stick together and when to spread (they need to know that with Templar too, it's just not as punishing)
    - summary: it's hard with pugs, but guilds should be able to master it
