How hirelings work??

I am a little confused about how hirelings work.

Let's say I have 3 toons, each one has 2 hirelings active (1/3 points in each).

Toon 1 : clothing and enchanting
Toon 2: blacksmith and woodworking
Toon 3: blacksmith and clothing

How and when will I recieve the mats?
Should I log with each toon every day? Since I have two toons with hirelings in blacksmith and in clothing, will i reciveve double items for those crafting professions?

I can't find post now but I think it it worked like you get 1 box every 24h for 1 point. Timer starts and resets when you pick up reward. So you need to log on at least once every 24h to get a chest. If you have more then one char with it you need to log each one on to get it. If you have 3 points you will need to log in every 12 hours to get 2 chests. So if you are afk for a week you still only get one chest.

Each char gets it's own chest. So 2 toons will give you two chests. Chests are bound to char but once you open them you can trade the mats.

tbh going by info on skill in game it's a bit of a scam.

You also cannot log on after a week and expect 7 chests per character sadly, you will only get that one set of chests and will need to wait 24 hours for the next one so log in every day and open each chest on your characters to make sure you don't miss any.

Additional note; the new patch will slightly change hirelings. When the patch goes live you will no longer recieve chests for that character, but items based on that characters level. It is a negligible difference for the player who is not looking to abuse any systems.

Ummm... so my level 4 smith (who my main gives all his items to) will now only get level 4 mats? Great.... Are they trying that hard to break this game?

Considering you can only get 5 of one mat up to once every 12 hours, I don't understand your complaint. Hirelings are useful for the improvement mats they give you, not for the mats you can already find in the world with minimal effort.

My understanding is that you'll get items based on the character's CRAFTING level. so your maxed out blacksmithing character that's only character level 4 will still get top tier materials - but you can't make an alt, get them to rank 3 blacksmith and have their hireling packages opened by the master blacksmith for top level materials.

You recive new e-mail no matter what untill your mailbox become full.
You dont need to log in.
You recieve 1 e-mail each 24 hours for 1-2 points and 1 e-mail each 12 hours for 3 points.
The regular mats you recieve (like ore, wood and leather) depend only on your craft skill level like "Metalurgy".
For example, if your character level is 1, but his Metalurgy is 9, then you will recieve Voidstone ore in each e-mail.

Actually this is not true for me. I just logged into an old character that I had a couple of hirelings with and she only had 3 e-mails and each one was one minute old. I haven't been getting e-mails even though I didn't log in with her. None of my other characters have spent points on hirelings.

Well you guys seems bugged then. Because i recieve those e-mail normaly even when im not playing.

No you don't. Or if you do, your skill is bugged. Hireling mail doesn't stack, and the timer resets once you open the mail.

Well for me it clearly dont act as you say.
I never open those mail instantly because im too lazy for that.
I stack them for few days and then open all at once.
Should i repeat that they keep coming even while i didnt opened previous one ?
