What should my gear look like before i dive into VR1 dungeons? Also, how difficult are VR1 dungeons compared to the dungeons while leveling up?

Or perhaps what should my stats look like if I'm a healer? Say max Magicka, Magicka regen., Health... ect.

    There aren't any VR1 dungeons. Only VR5's and VR10's

all dungeons which you can enter at VR1 are basically made for VR5 (you only get VR5 loot) .. however, if you have a good group (with patient) you can do banished cells at VR1 .. spindle should also be possible (golem might be hard). Fungle is really hard, but manageable. Overall.. veteran dungeons with VR1 are HARD AS [snip] (serious). I love it!

So I´m a VET5 healer and I have 2.3k Magicka, 109 MagickaReg (out of combat, half incombat), 2,2k Health, 1k Stamina. I use warlock, furnance (3piece) and the 10% more healing set.

This is enough to do the dungeons by far. Most times dps dies in one hit anyway if they get hit. Tank dies in 1 hit anyway if he don´t block hard hits.

Like I said.. I had SEVERAL groups which left after the dungeon because they just gave up.

oh, and one thing. Don´t know why, but when tank pulls trash mobs they instantly aggro the healer (all ranged monsters). So prepare for that, I often get 1shot if I don´t watch out.

In other words, for the vast majority of players, the devs designed Veteran Ranks so that they are stuck with the monotony of questing to level until they reach VR5.

Then they can do dungeons again. Seems silly, doesn't it?

love the vr grind. sick of everyone wanting to be handed a level capped character. I like that we gotta work hard. If you want to be handed level capped characters, WoW is the game for you.

for me it would be great if they just could increase the XP for monsters a little. I really like the hard grind, but its monoton just to do quest. Mainly its running around and talkin which is not that much fun. It really would spice it up if I could grind some monsters in between to gain some additional xp. :)

Overall the system needs some love but for the beginning its ok. I guess they just wanted to increase the playtime (more force the increase of playtime) by adding a quest grind at the end.

For those of us who played WoW, an engaging storyline is much less monotonous than doing the same dungeon a few hundred times.

    You are missing the point.

The point isn't whether some players want to grind levels solely through dungeons. When you reach level cap in mmos, you have more options with content.

By making VR1-2 as not viable for VR dungeons, players actually have fewer options by leveling to 50/VR1 in eso.

They're still viable, but the players have to be extremely good and/or grouped with higher-level players. I cleared Spindleclutch with a group of VR2s, so all they've done is made a dungeon marked for VR1-5 appropriately punishing.

Not talking about the top 5% skilled/geared players but about the rest of the 95%. That sounds like you are saying that VR1-2 are viable in VR5 dungeons as carrys.

I'm flattered that you think I'm in the top 5% of players, but again, we cleared Spindleclutch at VR2. Fungal Grotto probably requires a higher level, but since BC and Spindleclutch are both completely doable from VR1 on, I don't see the problem.
