Deshaan can use a small make over!

So far, I have only been in Stonefalls, Deshaan, Shadowfen and Eastmarch. I liked Stonefalls a lot, the graphics really blew my mind, and the variation and uniqueness is awesome. The place I liked the least is Deshaan. It is so bland, and the same everywhere. It also looks similar to the grasslands of Stonefalls. It could use a small make over!

My suggestion: An evil mage from the House Hlaalu is kicked out of the house, because he experimented with dangerous magic. He has now tried a new experiment, and it failed badly, damaging the regional climate. A part of Deshaan now has become a desert!

Don't you guys think Deshaan is too boring?

Hmmmm. Boring isn't the word. It's got an oppressive atmosphere, but I believe that is very much by design, because terrible things are going on there courtesy of the Malbourn, and because of the presence of the Tribunal, which while isn't openly evil, is built upon deceit.

Anyway, what you're asking can't be done by the game developers quickly or easily. It requires re-doing the zone maps, which is a very large undertaking and which is something that we're not likely to see done until the day that this game has been around for a decade or so.

At the most, you'll sometimes see very small portions of terrain adjusted here and there, but even that takes time and work

Deshaan is one of my favorite zones, especially at night and when it rains, I think it's perfect as is and is a nice contrast to the bleakness and gray skies of Stonefalls, and it makes a nice transition.

Deshaan didn't bother me. My least favorite zone, environmentally, is Shadowfen. Endless, endless swamps. Very dreary. I was glad to get out of there.

Deshan needs to be rebuilt from the ground up.
It looks almost as bland as Cyrodiil, Narsis looks pathetic for a city, Mournhold's layout is nothing like it is in Morrowind and oh yeah, Almalexia is completely missing.

The occasional mushroom here and there does not an exotic environment make.
I wonder if any of the people on this dev team have even heard of Morrowind.

my biggest issue was that amalexia was the only one of the tribunal you meet. Deshaan is ok I guess. Shadowfen is my favorite zone so far though.

Mournhold was part of a larger city named Almalexia. Now wheres Sotha Sil, the Clockwork City?

The location is unknown, it's also underground and not really a city so much as Sotha Sil's personal playground.
It would be an easy location for a dungeon or trial actually.

The biggest disappointment for me was Mournhold... It is like, what, less than half the size it is in Tribunal? And no castle in the middle... And where is the city of Almalexia, that is said in lore to surround Mournhold on all sides??

I didn't realize there was so many inaccuracies with Deshaan and mournhold. I my biggest issue was and is with Windhelm, the geography doesn't seem to match up at all with skyrim, where did they coast go? What happened to all that area that exists BEHIND Windhelm? LIke that barrow you go to for the thieve's guild, and those little islands where (Yngvild?) was buried.
