Veteran Auridon: How the hell do you get out?

So, I have been all over Auridon. The only quest that I had left there was 'Buyer Beware' which I ended up abandoning since I couldn't find the NPC I had to meet in the lighthouse (I was all over that place and he wasn't there. I assumed it was a glitch).

Now I don't have anywhere to go and I can't seem to get to the next zone? I am sure that I have covered EVERY INCH of Auridon. WTF? How do I get out?

Presumably you get out the same way you do from regular Auridon. Finish the main faction questline and take the boat.

Take the boat anytime you want. Fighters and Mage Guild quests will want you to move to Grahtwood and they will show you where the boat is.

It's at the dock eh'.

He said VR Auridon. So no guild quests. Although the boat may not need the quest path to be usable.

The boat always works. There are perhaps 3 places in the entire game you cannot get to just by walking anytime. Yup I am playing a long game with many chars.

Skywatch ... the dock ... where boats are.

There's a boat in Vukhel guard (the one newbies start on) talk to the Captain. I believe there's a quest in Skywatch near a stage with people dancing on where you have a drinking competition with the Captain and you can choose to delay or go immediately.

Now, after I picked up the quest I needed from Razum, when I got to Skywatch it dropped off of my quest log after I talked to the Captain at the gate. Great, so this must be a glitch problem. Swell. Thanks Zenimax. My game is now broken.

The quest to leave isn't assigned by Raz, and it isn't dropped off at the captain. Go to Firsthold.

I can't go to Firsthold yet, I need to do the quests in Skywatch first. And I can't do them because after I turned the last one in there was no follow-up. Pretty sure this is a glitch.

It isn't. You can go to Firsthold without having a quest guiding you there, and that chain has never been broken to begin with. Go to Firsthold if you lost the chain.

Are you messing with me? Firsthold is a writhing mass of hostile mobs. Just for kicks I snuck around until I hit an impassible barrier that prevented me from going further. Finally, my quest log, under the "Cadwell's Almanac" tab says that I need to do the quests in Skywatch before Firsthold.

Please let me know if there is anything I missed.

Well, there's definitely something you missed, but you should be able to go around the back in Firsthold and get a quest (by the way, "covered every inch of Auridon?"). Failing that, what is the last part of the main faction line that you completed?

The last quest that I was on in the main questline was "To Skywatch." I turned the quest in to the NPC at the gate and received no follow-up quest. I'll swim around Firsthold to be sure, but I'm pretty sure this is some kind of bug.

I mean what quest did you complete last? Not counting a run to somewhere quest. And have you looked for Raz inside? These quests are not bugged.

I don't remember the name of the last quest that I completed in the main questline. Presumably 'The Unveling' which precedes 'To Skywatch.' I did a bunch of sidequests in the middle of the main questline.

As for Razum I can see him. He is in Mathiisen. As for the back of Firsthold it is inaccessible, magical barriers block the bridges. I even jumped down the waterfall and swam around the back of the city. That part of Firsthold is not available to me since I haven't done the quests in Firsthold, since I haven't done the quests in Skywatch.

I spoke to two people earlier who said that they turned in chain quests and did not get new quest objectives. One guy was on a mage guild quest with a portal and the portal just didn't show up. Maybe it's not a glitch with this specific quest, but something's *** up. I'm not this stupid.
