Do you want more agree points? Say something halfway smart. Some people will probably agree.

Do you want more insightful/awesome points? Say something really smart and new. Some people will probably find it to be one of those two things.

Do you want more LOL points? Be funny.

You can also get LOL points by saying something controversial, since some people think it's a downvote.

To OP -- read a book, help a neighbor, walk your dog -- accomplish something meaningful. Forum points, stars, whatever, are meaningless, made all the more irrelevant by the sniveling manner in which you've achieved them.

I've seen all kinds of things on this forum called "sad," but this is the first indisputable example of it.

Trust me on this, we've been there, done that. Yes on these forums. We really don't want to go back to the way it was. There is a flag feature for posts that are counter to the TOS, abusive, etc. Beyond what needs a moderators attention, I.E. flag, we really don't need trolls visiting the profile of everyone they disagree with only to systematically down vote every post that user has ever made. That is exactly where we were many months ago in closed beta on these boards. The best tool you have against a poster you don't like is indifference. Leave them alone, or post a counter argument that illustrates why you don't like a particular thing, or things that were posted.
