Help me with my build!

I am a Breton Sorcerer who was ruined by the vamp nerfs. I used to use Destro/Resto Staff, and I used Vamp for Life Drain as my healing. Now I just lag whenever I try to use it, it gets interrupted by anything and doesn't have any potency behind it.
I don't even know how to build my V1 Sorcerer anymore; my abilities don't feel like they do anything in PVP, and with the limit of 5 abilities, I just feel hopeless.
Bolt Escape always leaves me confused about proxemics. My AOE takes too long to cast/place and by the time I hit anything, I am dead anyway.
I don't know what changed; a week ago, I was doing just fine. Now, I can't even survive more than 2 hits let alone land 3.
