Why cant we level with PVP or PVE?

dwaightb16_ESO
Why cant we progress our level with PVP or PVE? i mean we can but at a very very slow rate.. the mob XP is beyond a joke in most dungoens.. and in PvP you dont get much XP either...

i feel like im forced to grind al the veterans zones. inorder to achieve v10.. ( v6 Atm )

thoughts?

Dungeons give you a lot of xp for finishing the quest, you also get a skill point and skyshards. Pvp offers skyshards as well, so you are greatly rewarded for doing this type of content.

The XP is low for killing mobs yes, but that's fine if you consider the idea behind all of this.

The Dev´s want us to play the game and not just sit in towns and use the LFG. I support their decision ;)
There are however MMO´s where you can sit in towns all day and only use the LFG system, if you like this type of game you can always go there.

This is why they're about to release an entire zone where GROUP-OR-DONT-BOTHER is the rule .. so in order to even be able to go there and not die to the first mob that sees you you'll need to .. LFG IN TOWN!

Why can't we progress our level by being AFK? I feel like I'm forced to play.

He asks why we can't level in PvP or PvE (mainly because PvP XP is shockingly bad) and you come back with, quite possibly, the most pathetic comment of the day.

You might want to sit down, keep a glass of water nearby, this will come as a shock..

Why can't I level up my professions by doing PvP? Inspiration gains from PvP are shockingly zero. I feel like I'm forced to level crafting in order to get crafting leveled. Bad game design? I'm unsubbing!

You can but it goes a bit slower than rushing quests and high xp rewarding stuff.

What I don't get is the obsession of getting VR10 asap. Why not just take your time and do the stuff you enjoy doing the most, be it RvR, Questsing, Farming, crafting, ...
If the xp gain is slower, so what. Aren't we here to have fun the way we want or is there some kind fof real life price, achievement if you make it VR10 before JoeSixPack?

Just wondering, not flaming OP here.

I don't think you meant to say LFG, if you replace LFG with mob-grinding then your whole post makes sense :P but I get what you meant to say.

For whatever reason, some people in ESO think variety is a bad thing. Anything other than questing "isn't playing the game" or some other nonsense.

Zenimax is aware of the issue and has said they are working on it so anyone defending the way things currently work is just being silly.

XP in pvp could be a bit higher. But if you get into a good group you can get quite a lot of XP. Just like in pve you actually have to kill stuff (people) to get xp. If all you do is run around solo and die you won't get much.

And you can actually level crafting too. If you do well you can get a lof of mails with gearboxes. Break them down and you can level crafting.

But quickest way to level is prob quest when solo. Do dungeon if you are in a small group and pvp if you have bigger organised raid.

Many reasons, first grinding is faster to level than questing if done right.
PvP also give decent XP in veteran level if you join large fights in large groups.

More important they want to slow people down before we get the update with trials. it will also increase the xp gain as its less reason to slow people down :)

And I agree dungeons and PvP should be viable options to level up.
Hopefully change how you get xp in PvP to so small groups is more competitive.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I think it's to prevent Alliances from farming each other.

We already have population problems in some Cyrodiil campaigns; imagine how it would be like if PvP actually yielded decent XP.

Then we'd have strategies like "Don't capture the fort, let them respawn closer to us so we can farm them!"

I wouldn't have missed the joke ........... had it been even remotely amusing.

I seem to have skipped the section in forums 101 where being a condescending arsehole is hilarious.

See, in order for a joke to work ..... people need to laugh.

If someone reads something and then plants their face in their palm and slowly shakes their head in shame of the cringe worthy tripe they just read ..... the joke falls flat.

Forgive the double post, just noticed your comment.

Farming kills in large zerg groups IS where the rewards are.

You get more for mass kills than you do for keep capturing. You get nothing for defending besides what you get for killing the attackers.

Yeah but, right now, nobody goes to PvP with the idea of leveling up. That's a good thing.

The point is that the reward for defending keeps shouldn't be XP (aside from the small amount you get by killing players); it should be the keep itself and what it provides to the Alliance.

You give a personal XP reward to that (or you make that more relevant) and it skews the entire campaign experience.
