Veteran zones enemies are OP

Okay so I am VR3 now, but just find that I am dieing a lot more than none VR zones. Is this the same for anybody else, just feels like Veteran mobs are very over powered.

Indeed, they are. And ridiculously so.

Suddenly, my character who could take on elite Dremora warriors now has his over-charged armor and maxed attribute health knocked to 50% from just two hits from some random nameless mortal bandits, and skeever trios.

I've only just begun Bleakrock Isle and I suddenly went from enjoying this wild adventure, to really despising the future content of this "veteran" character.

I suddenly feel the need to level faster so I can get there before the inevitable nerf. :(

I am only at V 2.5, but so far no serious problems running solo through all quests and built for solo dungeons. But if I became complacent I would get to rez.

This is one of many threads popping up on vet content being too hard. More and more people are finally reaching vet level, so it figures.

While I do not really agree, it will get nerfed anyway I imagine.

Yeah, sadly that's what this thread also made me think.

From my understanding the Veteran zone stuff is designed to be difficult. You need to fine tune your build to survive. It's like a new game + deal.. which I like. I'm VR1 now, hopefully I'll get through the stuff before they decrease the difficulty because I like the challenge. It felt kinda silly that I could run through Public Dungeons (the group ones, not delves) on my own and take down bosses, and groups of 7-8 mobs without issue. Or take down world bosses all by myself. Veteran content seems to promote grouping in these things like I imagined the 1-50 content would.

IMO, if they wanted to make it easier, all they would have to do is raise the overcharge caps on the attributes. It would make people slightly more powerful and not entail modifying or nerfing all the content. That would also give people more flexibility and make defensive's, passives, food, and such that raise overcharged stats very little now more useful.

I know I am overcharged in magicka (with food), spell resist, and magicka regen on my V-2 Sorc while in quest gear.

Perhaps that is what they designed the caps to be, adjustable.

Also, I am seeing more than enough people in the lower VR zones to help take down the harder stuff. If I stand at one of those anchors for a couple minutes, 5 or 6 arrive and we take it down.

    Just thinking out loud.

While i do feel its harder, its surely not overpowered. Apart from anchors and certain worldbosses, solod all vet content. Yes i die alot, because i screw up on rotations, bad pulls, but thats my fault. Even had more then once other people training mobs on me and survive that.
Fighting 3 vet4 trolls was probably the craziest fight i did but was *** fun and was silently laughing with that ... troll that trained me those trolls. (if that made any sense) People are just nice like that.
If its really that hard for you, team up, revise your build.

I think I've grown to be fond of the difficulty myself. It's no demon souls or anything, but my dying has led me to think more critically on my build and start re-working my rotations for each encounter. I feel the difficulty should have always been like this.

IDK, that's just my two gold on it.

    Hehe yap!

I also want to discover those "impossible" mobs once ;) VR levels are for playing together, just group with others like you did when attempting world boss encounters from 1-50 and it should be much easier guys.

If you browsed the many threads already in existence on this subject you'd know.

Veteran content is meant to be harder.
Check your skill choices and try something else if your current one doesn't work.

I'm playing as a healer / DPS Nightblade Vampire and while I do die occasionally, I don't find the veteran content stupidly difficult or anything.

I thought the VR content was OP when I first started it, as well. Turns out most of it is not OP but there is a big jump in difficulty from the 1-50 content to the VR stuff. In the 1-50 content you can breeze through almost all of it with some really bad builds. The VR content though will punish you hard if you go at it with a gimpy build. It's too bad there is so little in game direction given to what skills to take so you can be prepared for the difficulty jump in VR. I've found myself having to go back, take and level skills and skill lines I had ignored in 1-50 in order to make VR easier to play. This meant some painful play till I had the skill points to take skills and had leveled them enough.

The situation is made worse by the many broken skills, but if you still like the game and want to continue play, keep working with your build and things will get better. As for me, I have unsubbed and will be waiting 6 months or so to maybe try again. Hopefully the bugs will be mostly gone and the UI won't suck by then.
