How much are recipes worth?

I was just wondering i just got purple recipe called "consummate gray lightning recipe" which does +6 hp, mp, st for 2 hours and I'm just wondering what its worth. I think ill just use it but kind of bugging me about its value.

Any purple recipes that needs oats or tomatoes = currently worthless as too hard to get oats or tomatoes. (hope this gets fixed)

Most purple drinks recipes = low value as you can get to the reg cap too easy, so the buff is useless

Still, as they nerfed the drop rate of recipes, I am sure someone will buy
Most blue recipes still go for 500 and purple for 2k

The V5 food that does not need oats or tomatoes, saw someone pay 20k for that.

The rarity of oats & tomatoes are intended. They can only be obtained from Provisioner hireling 2 & 3 by design.

Nope blue recipes are dropping. 300-400 is the new average. If you pay 500, you're overpaying ever so slightly. Don't even get me started on those trying to sell a blue drink recipe for 1k lol

I have a couple of extra Blue Recipes that I was thinking of selling much, mucho mucho, less than these prices you mention. I was thinking around 20 gold or so, but then I have sold extra 1-9 Motifs for 200 gold each, with many whispers even an hour (???) later for them.

I have even given some away to new players while trying to explaining the mechanics as best I can for the crafting. This has, in effect, netted me some crafting friends and partners along the way which is great for all concerned.

I usually sell blue recipes for 1000 gold, purple recipes for 4000 gold. Sure they dont sell instantly for the price, but I usually buy up all the cheap stock from my 5 trading guilds and within one hour I have eveything resold.
I dont make a difference between quality lvl of the food and ingredients required.
People pay my price or they can get lost. TESO is a sellers market.

Above v1 they are rarest thing in entire game right now (thx zos). People were offering up to 300 thousand gold last night on AD side.

I blame the lack of good gold sinks (and exploits) for the insane prices. The most expensive item is a horse for 42700 gold lol. They should make more expensive items or those recipes will cost millions soon.

its tier 3 only, with some luck 4k gold or so
if you are on EU I would buy it for 2500 gold or something for my collection if you want to get rid of it

Neither oats or tomatoes can drop in-game, as verified by Zenimax. You're probably confusing oats with oat mash, which is common.

They can be worth a bit, but It really varies. I'll buy purple food recipes for 4-5k (past lvl 35) and higher even if you have veteran ranked ones. I'll buy drink recipes for around 2k, but not more. I suppose maybe a bit more for Vet ranked ones. Also, lvl 45 to VR5 blue recipes, I'll pay 500 for drink, and up to 1k for food. If you are on the NA server, you can either CoD them to me or contact me @arouramc, or PM me here. Provisioning is my MAIN thing in this game. It's a giant pain, but I'm determined to be a master at it, no matter how many stupid road block Zeni puts in my way....lol.

I asked how much a purple food recipe was selling for about an hour ago and the person selling it wanted 120k for it, prices are getting way out of hand imo

Purple quality recipes vary so much recipe from recipe, and region to region, that this is an impossible question to answer.

The only way to get even an estimate is to try to sell or buy a recipe.

I gave some motifs to newbs in guild and never got so much as an acknowledgement.

Go figure.

Any idea what the food it's self should go for?

You guys are no help. Seems to be 350g - 500g. Hmm I should get some Imperial Flour, had some. I can make a pile of them apart from that.
