Research and skill resets

Hi,
could anyone enlighten me as to what happens to my in progress research when I have multiple items being researched and I reset my skill points?

Will the research continue unprompted if I reassign the points back in to the relevant skills? Do I retain partial credit that can be restarted? Or is it the research progress and item lost for good?

Its fine, If you reset and you have 3 items currently researching, they stay researching, but the time increases as you no longer have the 'bonus' research time. You also can not research anything more until all three finish.

But as soon as you add points back into it, the 'bonus' research time reapply's. Its safe and listed in the FAQ on tradeskills.

Basically it reverts back to 1 item researching, the others stay in the que. If, you put points back in it, then the appropriate number will research depending upon the points you applied.
