Guild stores, money and recipes

I'm sure this has been asked before, unfortunately I can't seem to find the answer via search. Thank you to anyone who can either refer me to a good post, or webpage.

1) Where do I find the Guild stores? Are they in certain cities?
2) Is the economy working as intended? I find everything from NPC vendors to be very expensive compared to the amount of money I take in from quests and monsters.
3) Where do I find recipes? Occasionally one drops and I find one or two hidden near crafting machines, but is there no place I can buy them?

Loving the game, just finding it a bit confusing. Is there a manual I can peruse so I don't need to ask silly questions?

1) Bankers give you access to your Guild Stores.
2) Yes, the economy works as intended. In general, you should not need to buy a lot of things from vendors.
3) You find them where you found the others (in containers around the world), or your guild store may have some listed.

1. You only have access to the store of a guild you have joined (you can join up to 5 player guilds). Joining a guild opens up the store option at any bank teller.
2. You should find all the equipment you can wear and more as drops from mobs and opening chests. You can also craft your own, if what you are wearing is in need of repair. Don't forget, any class can wear any type of armour.
3. Recipes can be found in containers. Usually in residential buildings/banks.

ETA: There is a player guide sticky at the top of this forum. I prefer learning in the game world, so no idea how good it is or if it is complete enough for you.

Thanks everyone! How do I purchase things from Guild stores rather than sell?

Once you have selected what you would like to purchase (the browse button is the first of three top fight of the store), you click E to buy. It will arrive via game mail a few minutes later. If you want it immediately a log out and back in will have your mail show up.

That's great, but WHERE are the stores? I'm not in a guild yet, so I have no store to sell at. Do I have to be part of a guild in order to buy at their store?

Yes. And the guild MUST have 50+ members for items to be listed. There are many "Trading Guilds" - these are basically just made so people can list.

You have to be in a guild of over 50 members. The store is accessed from the same NPC that handles your bank.
