CRaftin prices lengdarys

Hi all,

I was finally able to craft my 1st 6-8 trait armor with pretty neat bonus's.

Felt so happy I decided to craft 3 pièces of VR10.

Used pretty much all my materials, but that doesn't bother me, me thinking to myself this is the dogs nuts, the best stuff, the stuff everyone wants, the stuff that should actually make some coin in this game.

Hell, that was a dissapointement.

Spending quite alot of gold, time, to level upto 50 and research, to only realise that no one wants this legendary stuff. The one's who do want it, want it 2x cheaper than what the materials cost.
One person even replied to me "you want to make a little bit of coin with your own mats hahahaha"." your better off selling the mats and forget about crafting".

This made me laugh at the time, thinking to myself surely he's got it wrong...But after 2 days of trying to sell my stuff, at "material prices", it simply does not sell.

Yes arguably one may say "how much does these mats cost for you", I would reply yes if I spent 4 hours shouting to get 1 material or 2, maybe I could get a little mat reduction thus making a tiny wincy bit of gold extra. Thus using these hours to shout for mats, you just do 10 dungons, and would have far more gold items than what people actually want.

This is simply a post what others have realised about crafting and is my frustration shared atall?

Regards to all.

Odin.

Although I like crafting a lot, the best system I saw is lineage 2. No bound equipment. But you could destroy the item if you overenchanted it.(there was no safe way to OE items. Blessed scroll only kept your item but removed all enchants on it if it failed. I did not like it's dark side, as OE weapons +16 were insane.

People were trying to OE gear so there really never was overflood of equipment.

Sorry have to ask you've done research on 8 traits on one item? How with no discount it would take 1530hrs (63.75 days) to research all the traits or 1300hrs (54 days) on the 15% discount.

Or do you mean something else?

Prices on mats gone down too since bots and some who does not know the worth and then players who expect that price all the time. Not a 100% safe way to craft is wonderful wish it could be so in eso too.

Sell your services, not gear. Or sell your materials. Hate to say it but selling crafted gear for profit is not feasable in this game.

I've been trying to sell some blacksmith gear, for the most part I've been able to sell them. But the problem is that it takes a long time to replace the materials so it's hard to put up new gear when they sell.

At the end of the day I've simply been selling my materials. I've only tried to sell blue gear with set stats.

Example: I try to buy blue gear to destroy for materials at 200-300g, but it's hard to get them that low. But that's what I buy it, to build an entire 3-5 item set, it takes 2-3 days checking trader for cheap items.

If I should replace my crafted gear faster I would have to pay more for the blue gear I destroy. But then the items would be twice as expensive easily.

I don't see this getting fixed unless they introduce some kind of progression involving material grind or recipes. Because there's too many who can craft the same gear atm.

Be happy there is no auctionhouse or global trading post. The situation would be even worse.

Correct the game has not been live long enough to have 8 traits unlocked on any given item.

It was released 37 days ago. Even powering the craft to 38 in the first day and unlocking the time discount 3/3 you still couldn't get to 8 in 37 days...the last two unlocks by themselves, with max discount, are 36 days...

Thanks to the dupe bug, the economy for legendaries was destroyed before it could even start.

Most VR10 players likely capitilized on the super deflated market to get what they wanted already, and while prices are going back up, its still reeling.

I myself crafted a gold VR10 set with a 6 trait bonus, all divines traits, and daedric style. About as valuable a set as you can possibly craft. Best offer I've seen on it is 65k, while the legendary mats alone could have sold for over 95k. I don't really mind though, because I'll likely use the set myself when I hit VR10.

Like others have said, the safe bet is to stick to providing services for now. I think there's still ways to make money selling crafted sets, but it's not easy.
