I like them too. I just wish I wouldn't get partial messages from them.

Would like to concur as well, those emails are very entertaining...I am getting 24 a day and have not seen a dupe yet.

    This.

I read all my letters, from all 5 (will probably re-spec and drop Provision) crafters, and they can be a hoot.

Some just leave me hanging wanting more, lol.
Next letter may or may not continue on, but some just end mid story. :)

Ha, I read all of them too. My Provisioner hireling chases tail all over Tamriel.

I noticed that not all of the letters are jokes or funny short stories. Some of them are about relevant events, like a priest's execution or a plague.
I love everything about the mails. If this was a single player game, I would want the hirelings to be my companions.
They remind me of my favourite Skyrim mod, "Interesting NPCs" (Rumarin 4life).

Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

Also Pacrooti, easily the best of the hirelings. Never a dull word outta Pacrooti.

Couldn't agree more. Reading the hireling mails is a highlight of my play sessions.

What is with Breton humor? Tosses a yarn ball on the ground thinking I will chase and bat it around. Well I did bat it around for a while, after he ate it.

The scams, the scandals, these are the days of our Hirelings. :)

Had a worrying letter from my Miner this morning his Nemesis has stolen his Dog.

I want to offer him the services of several Veterans in my guild. We've faced far worse and done quests for far less a reason.

Want to chime in with a big AGREE.

I adore the mails from the hirelings and am actually considering getting a third one just because of the mail.

My personal favorite so far: how Valinka Stoneheaver was so put out when her former "hero" offered her to take her to his room to show her "his artifact".

I think m favorite story, so far, was from my Tailor hireling. She was selling flax scarves to help prevent spread a plague. She was chased out of town later for "selling plague-laced scarves." She was chased to a mill, but was saved and given shelter by a wizard. The wizard turned out to be a member of the Worm Cult who wanted to know about her "plague-laced scarves." hahaha

I saw this one on Reddit a day before it showed up in my box. I laughed out loud both times.

Definitely well done by the creative staff! I especially like the subtleties that you'll only catch if you have a certain level of Elder Scrolls background...

Such as Pacrooti's confusion as to why it's called the "Green Pact," followed by his intention to have better luck gathering woodworking materials from the Hist...

(Go easy on him, Argonians...he just doesn't understand!)

Kudos for packing so much story into a daily paragraph or two!

Come to think of it, I'd enjoy it if you could save these in a journal...sometimes it's a tough call: Delete the mail for space for another delivery, or keep the story that is often worth more than the crafting mats attached!
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

Love the writing, as well. Pacrooti is my absolute favourite. Abnab gets grimdark after a while, lost interest in both him and his brother for now.

My only issue is that some letters are "clipped", containing, like one or two sentences, and ending abruptly, sometimes mid-sentence.

My favorite is when one of my hirelings lost his clothes to a Khajiit in a bet. Then from Pacrooti comes a letter saying he just won some armor from a Breton. Oh, Pacrooti you scoundrel!

My favorite is Pancrooti complaining about an inkeeper mistrusting him when he only takes what is plainly left in the open and never steals :-)

Take screenshots of them. I have taken screenshots of most of Pacrooti's messages…

Attention Zenimax: Stamina builds don't hold up to magicka builds, and this is causing most of your class imbalance. It makes melee weapons and bows weaker than staves and class abilities. It makes medium and heavy armor less desirable than light armor. Fix this imbalance, and you'll address most of your balance issues.

Yeah, the hireling messages are awesome. Although the last few times the messages were cut off even after firs sentence  I hope it gets fixed soon.

My two favourite letters were the one from Valinka, where that dunmer hero wanted to show her his sword  and the one from Pacrooti with the fat Breton vampire.

I quickly tired of my smithing hireling... just slap a pair of Mickey Mouse ears on her and "By Golly! Me and my ol' pal Scrappy are off for our next adventure! Yuk Yuk!" I really appreciate the effort for sure. So far Abnab is a good change of pace. Haven't looked into any of the others yet, but it seems like I should :)
