To anyone struggling while leveling...

I was struggling for a while, taking lots of damage, almost dying even against just 2 mobs. That is, until I learned how to recognize casting and how to block/stun enemies. Now I'm killing mobs 4 levels above me with ease. Most mobs deal high damage from casting abilities. I take very little damage just by interrupting the big hitters.

tl;dr block casting physical mobs, interrupt casting mage mobs, win game.

Yea, the game/combat is so much more than spamming skills/spells etc.

There's a 'tutorial' option that's by default turned off after the very first time you see it which allows you to be prompted whenever something you should block, dodge or interrupt (with what you should do) comes up. You can turn this back on in the options if you need the extra help, though I can't recall offhand what the option is called.

I just run in a circle yelling, 'pew pew' as i fire my bow. Seems to work pretty well. But if you see a gray cat dead on the side of the road go ahead and rez me will ya?

Yeah but a lot of people ignore it because they underestimate the effect of heavy attacks / casted spells.

Well if i see that cat ill yell "bzzzzzzzz" and thinking im rezzing you.

i thought i could ignore a mages little aoe spell...boy was i wrong, damn near killed me in one shot...ah how i learned back in beta lol

As this one understand you pretty much has to relearn this at VR1, Zaria looks forward to it.

I am V8 and leveling too fast, I don't want to get to V10 before I have done all the quests. At V10 its harder to level skill lines and I have a few more skills I want to morph etc before they become too hard to level.
