Breton fire Resistance...

Ok so just curious I know with light armor it doesn't matter but am wondering is Breton still decent with say Medium 5/2 light or 5 heavy/2 light... when it comes to fire resistance? or would you need to add Fire resistance to your rings to come out where you need to be. Would spell resistance on rings be enough instead also giving you the added benefit of being highly Magic Resistant in General?.
